When the Rilea River Muskrats were formed, Captain Greg Grips knew he needed someone that could throw the spiked pigskin around the pitch. His first choice was Scutters, a sailor and tack-master that was known to throw hooks and cannonballs with relative ease. After winning the annual Troll Head Throw at the Rilea Fair, Grips knew he had his man. Scutters, whose real name is something he refuses to say up to this point, decided to join to pay for gambling debts.

[[Game 1]]
Scutters completed the first pass of his career that set up a touchdown to allow the Muskrats to grab a 3-0 lead on the way to a 5-0 victory over a halfling team. He also took out a fling on a block using a tackle-hook to smash the creature's head.

[[Game 2]]
While the Muskrats' thrower completed a pass in the second straight game, the apothecary was needed to save Scutters's life in a 2-0 loss to a Norse team.

[[Game 3]]
In the first three games, Scutters has picked up four completions and one casualty. Fans have been noticing that he's throwing the ball a lot more accurately than he was just a few games ago. When questioned about his growing fame among Muskrat fans, Scutters stated, "All my friends should send me one dollar."

[[Game 7]]
The human thrower for the Muskrats suffered a broken jaw in a 5-0 loss to a very powerful wood elf team. As the Muskrats are slated to play some halflings next, Scutters is upset he's not able to play in the game.

The second-in-command of the Muskrats, Trip Buckers is the best childhood friend of team captain Greg Grips. The neighborhood strongman, Buckers got the nickname 'Trip' from the penchant he has for eating the Dream Plant, a Rilean product that is normally given to birds so people can watch them fly in erratic patterns. Buckers took the job as a Muskrat blitzer to pay for more of the Dream Plant, and to raise funds to make ingesting the herb legal.

[[Game 5]]
It's taken a full five games before Trip Buckers was able to score any star player points. Scoring the last touchdown in a 4-0 victory, Trip seemed to be very pleased when he spiked the ball. Those down near the field could have sworn he spat out some green stuff onto the pitch.

[[Game 8]]
Trip Buckers has taken over the team after the early death of Captain Grips in the seventh game of the Muskrats' history. To celebrate his new captain position, Trip scored a touchdown and a casualty in a 1-1 draw against some halflings. His speed and agility are something to behold on the pitch, easily outrunning all the other humans. Trip attributes it all to the Dream Plant and decided to set up a shop in the halfling town where the match took place. Sales are expected to boom. Unfortunately, it cost the Muskrat teams some fans.

Jackson Line was a real big signing for the Muskrats. When Trip took over the team from the dead Captain Grips, number one on his "To Do List" was to get another blitzer in as soon as possible. Enter Jackson Line, a recent graduate from Rilea North High School, who holds records in many categories, including most touchdowns, most MVPs, and the most teenage girls impregnated in a week (which stands at four). The Muskrats can only hope Jackson is as strong as his sperm.

Frenzy
The patron of the largest clan in Rilea, Vic Smith approached Greg Grips and requested to be a part of the team. Having lost his fishing franchise, Smith needed the income, and promised that if he were to join the team, he could get his brothers, sons, and nephews to come play for the team. Grips, glad for the warm bodies, tossed Vic Smith a jersey and told him to get his family down to the team's clubhouse.

[[Game 1]]
The first professional block of Vic's career flattened a halfling and gave the poor hungry fellow a niggling injury. Vic also picked up a touchdown and the MVP of the match. His ferocity has manifested itself, making Vic much more frenzied.

[[Game 3]]
After trailing in a game against some humans, Vic scored the winning touchdown as time expired in a 2-1 victory. At the post-game media conference, Vic stated the win is dedicated to his late brother, Kippy Smith, who died during the game.

[[Game 5]]
Vic is the brightest star on the Muskrats after five games. He's scored twice, caused two casualties, and now has a completion after a 4-0 victory against some nurgle's rotters.

[[Game 6]]
The eldest Smith brother seems to be stealing the spotlight from the Captain Grips, and the Muskrats' leader isn't all that worried. Leading the team in touchdowns now with four, Vic scored two in a 3-1 victory over a tough ogre team. When asked, Captain Grips said Vic has been given a day off.

Humpbert "Butters" Rico joined the team after a very costly victory against some ogres, where two players, including one blitzer, were killed, and the team's catcher was crippled with an injury. Feeling the pinch of very few players for the next game, Captain Grips took a trip down to the slave block to purchase a new lineman immediately. The only one available was Butters, who got his nickname from the fact he's very overweight and likes to eat everything with a lot of butter.

Having had his tongue bitten off years ago by a fangfish, John wasn't able to do any real work. He couldn't be a sailor, or a merchant, because he couldn't talk. When the Muskrats started, John was one of the first people to sign up. Captain Grips gave him some money and a jersey and told him to get on the front line. Not able to speak a word to complain, John did what he was told... so long as he got paid.

[[Game 3]]
John finally got his first star player points in a 2-1 victory against a human team. The voice-less lineman scored the equalizing touchdown in the second half. When questioned by journalists, Quiet John just nodded and shook his head a lot.

[[Game 6]]
Quiet John is going to miss a game with a severe injury sustained in a 3-1 victory over some ogres. When reporters looked for him for some kind of comment, or head nodding, John couldn't be found. It's unclear where he went off to.

Bucky Holmes was once a television star. He would travel around the realm and fix up people's houses, especially when their houses are in disrepair, or the owners had been taken by bad contractors. When the market fell out of the reality TV market, Holmes soon found himself without a job and without any real skills, since he never did any of the work but merely told others what to do. Having to turn to blood bowl to pay his own bills, Holmes found the only team willing to give him a position on a team was the Muskrats.

Not much is known about the lineman given the name Lucky Strike. When the Muskrats were forming and had the preliminary tryouts for the last two spots on the team, Lucky made it. No one had seen him before, and no one is sure where he is from. He rarely talks and uses his fists a bit more than most others would like... especially his teammates. He can play the game, though.

[[Game 8]]
After seven games, Muskrat fans were getting a bit down on Lucky Strike. However, he was able to complete a pass in a 1-1 draw against some halflings. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to garner the MVP, which went to Red Hand for his, ahem, helpful guarding on blocks.

Guard
The last person to make the team as a lineman was Benny "Red Hand" Waterford. He got his nickname from the size of his hands and the fact that he liked to do certain things with certain women around his home town. Glad to be rid of him, the women in the town threw something called a Re-Vee Party when Red Hand left to join the Muskrats.

[[Game 1]]
The lineman known as Red Hand scored a touchdown in a 5-0 shellacking of a halfling team that had some troublesome trees. An unfortunate little fling bent over in front of Red Hand, and now, a bunch of hungry little people know why he's got that specific name.

[[Game 5]]
The word around the clubhouse is that Red Hand is vicious. Scoring another casualty in a 4-0 victory, his skills for blocking and assisting have increased. Both of his casualties have been deaths. This one was a rotter beastman.

[[Game 6]]
Red Hand was knocked out early in a 3-1 victory over an ogre team. The game was very costly for the Muskrats, and Red Hand is going to miss the next game as well with a broken jaw.

A brother of Vic Smith, Dirker was cajoled into joining the team after Vic had told him that his other brother, Kippy, had already joined and was waiting for the last brother to sign up. Dirker was hit on the head hard in the first practice and has developed a stutter that is rather annoying to his teammates. Captain Grips has requested he stay silent during team meetings.

[[Game 1]]
Dirker scored the first two touchdowns in Muskrat history on his way to leading them to a 5-0 victory. After the game, Dirker was seen partying with his family. Word out of the clubhouse is Dirker has already picked up some pointers from his brother, Vic.

After taking over the team from Captain Grips, Trip Buckers decided he needed a couple new players. Having some money from the blowout loss against the wood elves, and some compensation from a draw against a halfling team, Buckers picked up the phone book, opened it, and pointed to a name. It was a Jones... Jungleberry Jones, to be exact. He was called up and offered the job. Since Jones was doing nothing but sitting around and molding things out of ear wax, he decided to join up, as ear wax makes a horrible food.
