Hérion Oreth is the only player on the Jadefire team who is slightly above average. He has a decade of experience of minor to mid-tier blood bowling under his belt and buckets of agility.

While he has the potential to go all the way, he has repeatedly been kept out of more well known Elf teams because of issues with drink and performance enhancing drugs.

In fact, the Cryptic Gemstone staff signed him on the cheap after he was suspended from the Athel Loren Star League for two seasons after failing a warp stone supplement test.

'Protecting this lad will be key,' Head Coach Stonefist said. 'If he snuffs it, we've even less chance of winning games. And with this motley crew and my coaching, we've already got a pretty slim chance.'

Maeion had a chance to secure his place in the team history book with a darting run in the Kislev Plate final. However, an OWCC wizard put that to rest. He'll have to find glory in Season VI.

Rolonae is the Jadefire's troubled speed demon. At 34 years old, he is the team's baby and extremely young for an Elf. Head Coach Stonefist signed him inside the forest from an amateur team after seeing his slippery antics in person.

'The lad dodges blocks as well as I dodge salads,' the Head Coach said. 'And from what I've seen, the ball sticks to the lad's mitts like glue. We'll have to see how he does against some real opposition.'

Rolonae is physically quite weak. Stonefist will have to hope the strength training he is forcing his catcher to complete pays off.

Tûrin is one of a handful of half-Elfs on the team, but he is the only one who is proud of his dual heritage.

He can often be found singing, dancing or painting. 'I'm fond of Elf stuff,' he says. 'But, you know, I'm also fond of whores, ale and being average at everything - so I've got the human side of me down as well.'

Belthorion is rather indifferent when it comes to his Blood Bowl. The Jadefire fans shouldn't rely on him to produce anything special. He's far more interested in meeting the gentlemen of his dreams and, out here in the wider world, he's got a lot more chance of finding him.

Tiduron is old, even for an Elf. However, he's had greyish hair since he was young anyway and has never had a problem with it. Up until recently he was a carpenter who made the majority of his money carving simple wooden instruments and selling them at the travelling fair accompanying the Cryptic Gemstone Tour. The Head Coach of the Jadefire recruited him quite by chance.

'Some little goblin was trying to filch some of the lad's wares,' Stonefist recalls. 'He pounced on the little scum bag and punched him so hard he travelled back in time. I saw the potential in him there and then.'

Was promised a portrait if he could "be the hero" in the Kislev Plate final of the Jadefire's inaugural season. Siladon was one of only four remaining line elves on the pitch in the final seconds of the game, and forced the final turnover against a Khemri Tomb Guardian with a both down/both down result.

Kick
Valiath is of noble birth. It defies belief that he would want to scrape a life together amongst the blood and filth of a Blood Bowl pitch when he could be living a life of luxary.

'He's gone in the head,' head coach Stonefist tells us. 'And I tell you what: that makes him perfect for LoS duty.'

--

Decides to roll 4,6 for his first skill up, but we take kick all the same.

'Turns out he's actually quite good at kicking the ball,' Coach Stonefist commented after one game. 'We'll take him off the LoS. Lucky lad.'

Erathudur is quite sensitive about his receding hair line. So sensitive, in fact, that his forerunner on the team can no longer walk after making a jibe about it in a tavern somewhere outside the Slippery Eel Stadium Complex.

'That's a pretty good story actually,' Head Coach Stonefist recalls with a chuckle. 'The original eleven lads and the staff are all in this tavern. We're dotting the Is and crossing the Ts as it were. Then one of the lads starts mocking this Elf barkeep on account of his funny hair or something. Well, the barkeep leapt towards him and just started stoving his face in. I thought to myself: "now there's a lad I can use on this pansy Elf team." Luckily enough, with that previous lad incapacitated, there was a spot going. A few bribes, a dropped assault charge and a couple of days later and Erathudur was Elfballing for the Jadefire.'
