The only reason he was allowed to live in exile instead of being executed on the spot, was that the patriarch of the noble house had to admit that "the way he punched his spine clean out of his back" was rather impressive in hindsight.

One of the founding members of the Martyrs, Naran was exiled for failing to protect a dignitary during a diplomatic visit. While under attack from a band of muggers in the streets of his mountainhome, Naran became so focused on killing his sparring partner that he failed to notice the other 3 armed men repeatedly stabbing the diplomat.

One of the founding members of the Martyrs, Gonus was exiled after a night of drinking resulted in him reportedly attempting to wrestle the mayor of his quarter over a parking dispute. Observers (and the mayor) were keen to point out that, despite Gonus's claims to the contrary, there was no horse in the first place.

One of the founding members of the Martyrs, Rosur was exiled after a brawl involving him and three others resulted in the disarming (quite literally) of the captain of the guard. Despite numerous attempts to capture him, Rosur was always able to muscle his way out of the fights, at least untill the new Captain of the Guard had him tied up while he slept and unceremoniously dumped into a ditch outside the entrance to the topside depot.

One of the founding members of the Martyrs, Lanoic was banished after an impromptu running race between him and a serving-hand in the palace ended in tragedy. While attempting to jump between balconies, Laonic smashed a priceless vase owned by one of his mountainhome's Princes. Unable to pay the 7 million gold pieces it was worth, he was ordered not to return unless he could pay back the price of it.

One of the founding members of the Martyrs, Glorin was at once time known as one of the mountainhome's most talented pickpockets. Of course, being known as a criminal is probably a bad idea, and he was rounded up by the city watch and banished for little reason other than suspicion of criminal activity. Rumor has it that despite having his hands tied untill he saw the sky for the first time in his life, he was able to snatch the coinpurses of at least 4 watchmen.

If you were to ask him why he was banished, he'd tell you it was because his political commentary was dangerous to the established order. If you were to ask anyone else, the answer would be that he had gotten into a fist fight over poetry of all things and jammed a quill into his rival's eye.
