The macBludgeon clan of Ogres is not known for their skill in subterfuge, subtlty, or thinking. What they are known for is their skill and hurting people. As such the clan currently finds employment in the league, with the majority of them used to keep a semblance of peace at events, Stompfist, the biggest, nastiest among them, was instead chosen for a more.. active role in the league.
A knight of ill-repute, Sir Wolfgang found himself pressganged into the Chosen after being caught by the city watch attempting to carry out an assasination. Facing the noose, he gladly accepted the Comissioner's offer to play for the Chosen, although his signing bonus went to grease the palms of the jailer instead.
A raider from Araby, The Butcher (Bruce to his friends), signed on with the Chosen over growing boredom of raiding defenseless villages along the coast. A combination of riches, the promise of glory, and a pint of dwarven ale were all that were needed to convince him to sign up.
Don Capronili was once the head of a smalltime smuggling ring in the city, hence his patronizing nickname of "Don". It wasn't untill his ring went bust from expenses that he used his contacts to find new employment. Unfortunatly, being illiterate, he didn't realize he was signing up to be on the team, not merely working for them.
Like many who bare similar titles, Monterfort is convinced that no matter what action he takes, it is a righteous one. This is the only conceivable explination as to why he would willingly join a team of theives, mercenaries, and other criminals. Of course, the competition faced is arguably even worse mind you.
The less said about Itchy Pete the better.
One Eye was a Leuitennant in a mercenary band for decdes, before an Orcish fighter put out one of his eyes. Left for dead in the badlands by his companions, he slowly worked his way back to the Empire, where, having been denied death in combat, he joined a team to seek it himself.
Ever since he was a child Steve, despite his lack of athletic prowess, wanted to be a Blood Bowl player. The Comissioner owed his uncle a favor, an Uncle it must be stated had no particular fondness for Steve. Either as a ploy to be rid of him, or simply to shut him up, the uncle called in that favor and Steve was quickly put into the ranks of the Chosen as little more than fodder.
Handsome, charming, dashing, brave. All these words describe Markus, one of the star players of the Chosen. Not a star in the traditional sense mind you, but a star in the legions of fans and admirers sense. Despite barely having played the sport he already has managed to secure advertising contracts for many products, and his haircare products are among the best selling in Reikland.
Itchy Pete's cousin, Useless Pete gained his nickname because he couldn't keep Itchy Pete from annoying the other members of the Chosen. Unsurprisingly, him and his cousin often get the "honor" of facing the toughest opponents at the start of the match.
Formerly a Poacher, Ragnar joined the Chosen after a particularly harsh winter made him have to choose between honest work and starvation. Of course, due to his work as a marksman, it had to be pounded into him (quite literally) that the ball is supposed to stay with his team, not used as a long range weapon.
