Coonbone's story is a sad one. Half-Orc, half human, she has often been ridiculed by both sides, and if it weren't for the monastery, she would have resorted to ripping out the innards of her enemies to mask her loneliness and confusion about her identity. Ripping out someone's innards, biting off fingers, and other unsavory habits were deeply ingrained in her, but that's nothing 20 minutes of daily meditation can't fix (full orcs require 40 minutes).
Coonbone's mother, Veronica, left her newborn child at the front door of the monastery deep in the mountains. She hid her pregnancy because she couldn't face the ridicule from her family and friends, who were all country club WASPS; not at all the types to understand what it's like to drink too many jager bombs and wake up with your face pressed against orc genitalia.
So she left little Coonbone with the forest monks, the only ones who might be able to give her unconditional love, or at least treat her with peaceful acceptance.
