I can make the client play the original sounds but I can't make him play my soundpack.
|
Can you chose your soundpack from client's sound tool bar when playing? |

No, I don't. BTW I'm not tracking the charts. Usually there is no music I prefer.
BTW my wife plays violin in our city philharmonic orchestra. |

That is right, but in the past (ver. 0.8.3) only sounds from 'original' subdirectory were played correctly (at least at my client installation).
Doesn't matter in that case as I already wrote. |

That could be it. My soundpack contains 16-bit 22050Hz wav files.
Arrrrrrgh audacity converts to 16-bits only. I need to find some tool for 8-bit convertion. |

The tool comes bundled with WinXP.
Conversion to 8-bit 22050Hz solves the issue.
Thanks Laviak. |

Nothing against the good advice of Laviak...but if you look thru the customise threads as a whole you will find ALL the specifics you need to build a soundpack.
History is a great teacher. |

I did but didn't manage to. After your post I tried once more and indeed I found them very quickly. Then I realized that I probably had limited search to "customization" while the answers are in the "bugs and problems" one. Which is quite obvious.
Thanks, this helps me a lot. |
