First I want to thank you for the input. It's kind of problematic to devise a way to keep the coaches with fewer time at hand interested, but not limiting the more fanatic coaches too much. After all what we are after here is maximum carnage. For this season I'll just reduce the length to a single month and see how this works out.
The points for wins and losses stay, because IMO it makes it easier to convince the Elfbowlers that you don't only want to destroy their team. And secondly it's good to kill some Elves, but it's almost as important to humiliate them and show that their weak pussyfoot playstyle is inferior in every way.
I hereby declare the Second Season of EMU Reloaded to be started!
For those of you new to the concept, here are the rules again:
You may report any (REVISION: now you can sign on with teams from any division, not only Ranked) game played versus -ANY- elf team with your non-elf team. You simply need to report the game in this thread. The format for reporting is as follows:
Myteamname TdsFor (BH/SI/RIP) vs Theirteamname TdsFor (BH/SI/RIP)
MATCH REPORT LINK.
(Of course I can't control if you are really reporting all of your games, but only reporting the good ones and not the games where you were humiliated and outbashed is lame and not in the good spirit of EMU. So report all games, especially the shameful ones!)
Provide a description if you would like. 20 EMU points will be awarded weekly for "best fluff/match report". I encourage braggin, strutting, smack talk and such in this thread. However, please remember to be polite to your opponent while killing their team.
Now to the rules:
Game Result:
15 points for a win
-10 points for a loss
0 points for a tie
10 bonus points if Opponent conceded
Casualties
2 points for every BH
3 points for every SI MNG or apothed Niggle/Stat Drop
10 points for every unapothed Niggle or Stat Drop (unapothed means either no apoth used or apoth used and failed)
6 points for a apothed kill (successfully apothed)
25 points for an unapothed kill (provide player url)
50 points for an unapothed kill of 75spp + player (provide player url)
100 points for an unapothed kill of a Legend player (176spp) (provide player url)
Slam Dunk (7 or more casualties) 25 points
100 bonus points for the one with the most unapothed kills at the end of season
Casualties against: Since I don't care how many beastmen, orcs, dwarves, minotaurs etc. die you do not lose points for receiving casualties UNLESS the opponents inflict more casualties on YOU than you inflict on THEM. In this case you get -15 points (you also get zero points for cas inflicted and game results, so no matter what you lose 15 points and if you also lost its staggering -25).
The Season is running until 50 Elves are horribly murdered.
Now go for it, guys. Last Season 38 Elves died horribly at our hands and I say this is not enough! |

Ok, here's my first report for the second season of EMU:
Hand of Loki 2 (3/1/1) vs Jinx'n'Curse 0 (0/1/0)
Finally gettin' some kind of idea as to how to play against 'em elves. Victory, cool. It's sad that the apo knew what he was doing and revived the dead one... |

Hmmm, I am tempted to make another anti Emu Elf team, but your scoring is not all that great.
I could kill 2 EMU players, win 6-0, have 1 BH and 1 Dead against and they would still score points!
Give elves some points for maiming their player, and -10 for a loss is not alot ... |

Duke: Then join the E.L.F. League kicking off March 16th.
They give you extra points if you win against EMU-teams. |

I tend to make a team just to beat up the weak EMU coaches though...
... I kinda do them a favour by removing their weak
Himmelbrahm Spire was my last team, but they had fair rules then with negative points for cas against etc... |

GOOD TYRON, we are waiting for you
BTW I think you have post on wrong post, it's the EMU report matches post... not EMU critics.
See you around, have a nice day !

From the opening line on the initial post, I presumed input was welcomed, please let me know if I was wrong.
I think you will find I am also not a critic, just a potential adversary, as I have been before in the past.
I liked the previous scoring introduced by BunnyPuncher, as it allowed points to be deducted from EMU coaches for losses and casualties against, as well as welcoming elven coaches the chance to post there victories in the EMU season thread (this one I believe), as it is your current scoring system panders to the coaches that play the most games, not the most victorious.
It's a shame, earlier seasons did have a certain challenge and class about them. |

DukeTyron: You are welcome to do your anti-EMU team and celebrate your feats here.
This league really lacks opponents and you'll find the teams here eager to play you. Just go on if you dare.
And some serious smack talk is always welcome too.
Regarding the scoring, most of it is taken directly from BunnyPuncher's last seasons. The -15 flat for getting outcased and the -10 for losing is straight from his scorelist. I don't know what BunnyPuncher did better in your mind. Could you give concrete examples of his different scoring?
For the rest of you guys:
Damnit, get your games going! The season is already half over and we have only 3 kills to account for! |
