cr 145 coach plays cr 175 coach, cr 175 coach has str 105 and cr 145 coach has str 100
cr 175 coach wins, his ranking is after the match
175 + 2 * (1 - p)
p = 1 / (1 + 10 pow(-30 / 40 + -5 / 70))
p = 1 / (1 + 10 pow -0,82)
p = 1 / (1 + 0,15)
p = 0,87
new cr = 175 + 2 * (1 - 0,87) = 175 + 2 * 0,13 = 175,26
Did this go right?
If the cr 175 coach loses it's 175 + 2 * (-0,87) = 173,6
If he ties, it's 175 + 2 * (0,5-0,87) = 174,26
Took me three quarters, and I have some math studies done.
This is too difficult. I want a table or something easier.
Like cr difference in rows and str difference in columns. Someone more clever could do it?
Preferably I would want to get 'difficulty' shown in gamefinder though.
Racial modifications, as suggested before, would be nice too, then you would just shift 15 columns right/left when it's dwarf vs halflings. |

No table = more difficult calculation
More difficult calculation = more difficult planning in cherrypicking.
more difficult planning = good
Conclusion:
no tables = good |

if you're really worried about how a match will affect your CR, you could always make a nice simple spreadsheet that does the calculations for you... |

We had something easier. It was called [L]adder. It was where all the coo[L] coaches hung out.  Unfortunately, not enough people played there and the division was killed.
