I was in a conversation with a pal of mine, spaceman_spiff, and we were discussing the best Throw teammate team. After I was complaining about failing with Halfing and Goblin teams, I said maybe I should give an Ogre team a wirl. He then pointed out that Orcs were the best TTM team in his opinion. Made me think though. When using a Fling team, you get pulverised with to many weak players on the pitch at once. The same goes with Goblin teams. Ogres are not bad, but they still have to use 5 little guys at a time. Orcs on the other hand have an all around team that doesnt have to rely on the TTM s much as the earlier teams mentioned. They also are more fit to defend on the likely chance of failure with TTM. The odds are against any team to have a succesful landing, let alone a positive throw. I just thought Id share the thought with you guys and get your opinions. What do you think?
PS
I dont play stunty, so Im not sure if other teams other than LRB have the TTM. |

Think of it in this way...trolls are hungry and can eat your loveable gobos...ogres are stupid and can drop them. Dead gobo or failed TTM? You decide.
I'm sure the answer is obvious since everyone loves da gobos and wouldn't want to hurt them...maybe aside from the blood thirsty killer Synn. |

Ogres no contest, cause the Ogres on an Ogre team can use team rerolls... |

I mean Ogres are the best team for repeatedly and more or less reliably using the TTM maneuver, because the Ogres can reroll their pass. Orcs are overall a better team, though. |

your main tactic should never be the TTM. You will lose many games if it is |

in stunty however, it should. You would loose many fun if it isn't. |

I never thought about the RRs on Ogre teams, you could just take Pro with your Troll to get a lesser result with RRs on TTM. I havent used the Ogre team yet, but I hear different storys about thier value. I like throwing little guys around, maybe thats why I hang around Irish men. Just kidding brown_rob. I like being unorthodox with my game play, and that is deffinetly unorthidox to try and throw gobos around more than expected with an Orc team. Ill keep giving my Hobbits a try, but my patience is low with them. |

PS I did put an Ogre option up there, but I seem to alaways forget about hitting the another poll Option, and missed out on them being up there. |

Assuming you want to TTM a lot (either for the fun of it or as a scoring tactic) then Ogres are the best, no question. If you're only going to TTM as a desperation play, then Orcs - simply cause Orcs are much more competitive than the alternative TTM capable teams. I've always thought the Krox should have TTM (Lizards would rock! )
Orges are the best TTM team becuase -
* you have a lot of potential passers - not just a single troll, or a couple of trees.
* as has been said, you can reroll the pass
* if you're lucky enough to get a +AG roll on an Ogre, AG3 makes passably reliable throwers.
* If you get a double as a skill throw on an Ogre team you can take Pass. Yes so can the others but passing up (pun ) block or pro is hard for a big guy - with Ogres you'll have 6 or more of them so you can afford to specialise a bit.
I'm still waiting to roll a double on one of my three +AG Ogres on my ranked team so I can give him pass |

You make a good point. I am interested in using the TTM skill more. I feel its under used. Thanks for the help you have sold me on an Ogre team. |

in stunty, choose Strigoyan... no allways hungries or really stupids(OFAB, yes), you can re-roll, a possible AG 4 thrower (I gots one:P) and G, A & S access on the team-mate tosser and also on 4 stuntys (Don't know if it helps TTM, but it's nice anyways) |

Or gnomes.
Or any other team and get lucky skill rolls. (See my unranked gobbos or my stunty snotlings).

Btw. note that if you throw a player, who is not a ballcarrier, and the pass or landing fails, then it is NOT a turnover. This can often be useful for e.g. throwing a player who then blitzes or throwing a player into a scoring position and then running the ball up and handing it to him. These kinds of actions can be performed without the large risk normally associated with the standard TTM touchdown, which when failing causes a turnover and moreover often leaves the ball wide open for the opponent. |

A quick note: extra agility doesn't decrease the chance of fumbling, only whether its accurate with the +1 to land. |
