Draft was held today, May 17th in the #fumbblleague chat. Present was myself, SteelThunder, Alexis, Celas, ultrasmurf, and Fangbanger. the following is the copy of the chat log.

rather low amount of people wanting bashers. I guess not being able to have DPs scared them all away. |

IMO Bashers are stronger without DP. DP helps AV7 teams more than any other. Like Norses need it a lot more than Dwarves.
It's just a coincidence and that all of us have several teams playing in different leagues already. The 4/4/4 ratio is just great I think, so we'll be able to play different race/tactic almost every game.

League is up and running! Alexis and goat314 kicked off the season with the first game! A long drawn out battle had goat314's dwarves pull out a harsh victory.
I got my game in againts Crimsonwolf this evening. My Ogres the Legendary Grapplers scored early against the chaos foes, thanks to a blitz by the goblin Randy Savage, opening up a hole for Sky Lo Lo to score. I played a daunting defense, but the Chaos team managed to score midway through the 2nd half. Dropped balls and boneheads as well as some injuries and KO's limited my attempts to score again, but we also prevented Crimsonwolf from scoring as well, earning a tie.
The sad/funny moment of the game was When Andre the Giant fumbled the goblin Sgt. Slaughter, who was slaughtered upon impact in a pool of blood on the pitch. i will be down 2 goblins for my next game as I bought an apothecary for my 2nd match. It's a long season, may as well protect ogres now! |

Yes the match was a brutal struggle from the start. The forcast for the game called for rain but right before the opening kick off the sun came out and the tempeture rose to extream levels. While The crowds support is greatly appreciated it looks like the beast man Riptooth will never be the same after his knee got smashed while he was marking an ogre after dumping off the ball to the Chaos Warrior Warpcraze The Ripper as he ran it in for a TD. We hope the appo we hired will keep this from happening again. but we go into our next match with only 10 players. |

2nd for the Rats vs Steel's wrestlers. Went very well for me but was very brutal for both sides. I lost 4 rats out of BH (1 was apoth) and got a SI on a runner (MNG). While the rats seriously injured the goblin Jim the Anvil Neidhart and killed the goblin Sky Lo Lo that had a very good game with 1 badly hurt and 1 complete pass.
The play of the match was when "Yes, Please! If You Don't Mind." killed King Kong Bundy on a 1 dice hit. He got badly hurt while doing so but what an intense block! The ogre's medic was able to patch KKB before it was to late and saved his life.
1st half was even but starting 2nd half skaven's speed overwhelmed Ogre's strenght.

Brutal for my Humans! Two deaths in the same match. #4 Duke Horus Dolfender and #7 Sir Quinten Nye dead.
 Horus and  Quinten.
Losing Duke Horus Dolfender, a Blodging Blitzer is what hurts the most!! He dodged, he tripped. Rerolled with Dodge Skill, he falls on his face. Dies, we roll the Apoth, he fails.
It was a win for the Humans, but not worth losing two players.
Mwilli72 was a great coach to play against!! You ever want to spar for practice, let me know. |
