I decline to use my apothecary, (i.e. on a BH or an early SI) and the game freezes with numbers appearing over all players. I have a screenshot, but don't know where I can add it to this forum.
Anyone know a workaround?[/list] |

Put it this way, have you ever had an injury (against either team) not cause the game to freeze?
Because then the problem would be with the image used for the blood on the field and your solution would be to wipe and reinstall the client.

I see you are running Ubuntu... I had the same problem. Turned out it was because I was running OpenJDK instead of Sun Java. Refer to this link for a possible solution:
http://fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=13590&highlight=
The important bit is this; "you'll have to set SunJava to be the default Java... This is done by typing the following command in a terminal:
sudo update-alternatives --config java
and selecting Sun java". |

I have just had the same issue (running Ubuntu). I shall try the Sun Java fix. |

Step 1 : using synaptic
- Installed sun-java6-jre + sun-java6-bin
Step 2 : on command line
- changed default java
sudo update-alternatives --config java
There are 2 choices for the alternative java (providing /usr/bin/java).
Sélection Chemin Priorité État
------------------------------------------------------------
* 0 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/bin/java 1061 mode automatique
1 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre/bin/java 1061 mode manuel
2 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/bin/java 63 mode manuel
It's french there, but just select the Sun Java.
Tested in standalone and it works on standalone mode (game does not freeze on declining usage of apothecary) |
