Hello,
I have signed up to FUMBBL today and I can't get Java to work. I've attempted to use Chrome, internet explorer, Firefox and Opera on Windows. I have downloaded Java today.
When I attempt to spectate or join a game I am prompted to download a .jnlp file - which will not open and allow me to spectate or play a game. (On Opera - I can see a tab open for a split second then disapears)... I have attempted to turn my antivirus off with no effect.
Please help.
Cheers,

Make sure .jnlp files are "Opened With" Java(TM) Web Launcher
Search your PC for .jnlp (open a spec session to get one to download if you can't find one)
Right click on file
Select "properties"
If "Opened With" is not Java(TM) Web Launcher - click change
Select "Look for another APP on this PC"
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_201\bin (most likely depending on OS)
Select jp2launcher
That is the basic outline - but most likely cause is your file association is off. You can find more detail instructions on how to relate files via google.
TLDR: Associate your *.jnpl files to jp2launcher.exe
If that doesn't work(the file is associated) there are a few security settings in Java that may be it. Will go into that if doesn't work. |

I couldn't explain it better, than others have done already, here.
They're talking about another .jnlp-file than the FantasyFootballClient, but
it's almost certainly really the same problem, if games / replays don't open / run.
Funny thing: It's about 5 pages for Windows and 1 line for Mac OS.
Edit:
To save a .jnlp-file or to test whether it's working, click here.
(right-click -> save as to save the .jnlp and left click to test
after you've set everything up / just some random replay, I picked). |
