I am proud of this slapped-together little baby.
EDIT: Now fully functional, but the "move" sound is proving to be ridiculously annoying. Further versions might be posted. Most of it cracks me up. |

It would be if I could get it to work...
mono, 8 bits, 22 Hz, in the "sound" folder, yes?
(edited because of a typo -- it was indeed in the correct folder) |

When configuring the sounds (converting them downwards) in cool edit. I took the 22kHz setting literally and set them at 22000, rather than the CoolEdit default around that range of 22050 Hz. Maybe that's it? Can't figure out what else the problem could be. |

Thats it shep. I just re-saved the sounds and it is indeed 22.050kHz. Resave them all as that and you'll be right. I would also think about bumping the levels up on them as well...they are a little low by my readings. |

Aha! Rejiggered and resaved. If anyone wants to test the ZIP, that would be awesome... I'm at work.
Not sure if "take that!" will work as the block sound or will get ridiculously annoying after some time, or if the GIR "doot de doo/de doot doo doo" throw/catch will sequence properly. Notes welcome!
I am very proud of the KO, death and SI noises, however. As well as the /boo. |

I will give it a good run through over the next few days. But early tests (and previous efforts of my own) suggest that a speaking .wav for blk is SOOOOOOO annoying Plus a skull/skull ruins the effect for mine. Will post a review by tuesday (aussie time) |

The move sound has gotta go, mainly because it interferes with the other, neater sounds. I had no idea how much move/block/fall over/etc. overlapped before I tried this.
"PITIFUL FAILURE!" and "Talk to the fist!" are awesome.
"Take that!" doesn't bother me so much, but I haven't really played a whole lot with it on yet. The prevailing vote seems against it, though, and I can't argue with experience! |

If you have a fragile ego, playing a poor match with spectators and listening to the PITIFUL FAILURE boo is actually kind of damaging. |

You need to train that beast, my friend
You know, at least so he can stand up or something.
He loves the ones like my dark elves love the injury box. |

I need to pack the team into an elevator, fill it with napalm, light it on fire and drop it in the Marinara Trench. That, or learn to play Rotters. It's a lost cause either way.
0/3/6 and PROUD OF IT, BABY! |
