Do you think the Orca Cola Classic is a great league?
Do you think the Grudge League is a great idea?
Do you like to play bloodbowl when most of the North American gamers are on?
If the answer to these questions is yes, then I've got a new group for you.
Champion's Cup Challenge
Sign a team up and save yourself a spot. Best case scenario is 100 teams in the group. Not sure that is possible with the limited number of North American players, but lets give it a shot.
But Mully, the league doesn't start for 6 months, why would I sign up now?
By signing up a team now you will be able to receive any group emails that get sent out. Plus it will give me a gage of how hard I'll need to recruit over the next 6 months.
Suppose I sign up and then change my mind?
No problem, there is no committment made by signing up.
Can I still play with the team between now and the start of the league?
Of course, as I said before, you are merely holding a spot for your team until the league starts in 2006.
I'm from Europe but like to stay up all night playing Bloodbowl. Can I still sign up?
Sure, I don't really care where you are from as long as you can play during around 23:00 - 6:00 BB time.
How do I sign up?
Just go to the group page and request to be added to the group. |

14 teams in
I know we have more than 14 good coaches from USA and Can here. As well as some euros (ChrisB) and aussies (Miyuso) that keep very odd hours.
Night owls from Europe welcome to apply. |

2 questions - 1. what if I apply with a team now and it doesnt exist in 6 months? and 2. What about star players for gobbos and flings? goblins particluarly should have access to their secret weapons if they want to compete...
*edit* for clairification I should say this is about the north american league... |

Dagda -
1) you can apply not and if your team gets retired it will disapear and you just apply with a different team. No harm
2) No Stars for Gobbs - the little buggers will have to fight it out using their own brute strength. The STARS for the various races are performing in a separate All-Star league for Odin and aren't available for the league.
3) Karhumies - I think your league looks great. I am currently in the Orca League which is very similar and have trouble hooking up with the Euro folks since Im in USA. That's why this idea. |

East coast, west coast or the middle? We got multiple east cost coaches in GL and at least they don't have any problems with the schedule.
Even if you weren't from the east coach, 14 days per round makes it quite flexible to arrange a date/time no matter where you live. |

That's just plain cruel!
All the goblin coaches, come on over to the Grudge League! Gobbos are allowed to hire secret weapons (no other stars) in all the regular tournaments in there. All the other star players for all the races are forbidden.
Next Mully's telling us he won't allow the use of Halfling ingredients or Necromantic/Undead Necromancers in regular games...they are both wizards according to the Blood Bowl rules |

Karhumies, this is not the place for that argument. Mully is League Commish [has been for ages], and I'm pretty sure he simply does not allow Gobbo Star Players for a reason. Besides, he knows what he's doing, I'm sure.
Flings/Raising do not classify as official wizards. Otherwise they would get spells, and cost 50K per game.

They might not be "regular" wizards but they still count as wizards.
LRB 4.0 wrote: | SPECIAL WIZARDS
Some teams may not use ordinary Wizards, but have their own
specialized type of Wizard (or equivalent) that they must use
instead. These teams are the Dwarf teams, who may only take a
Runesmith; Halfling teams, who may only take a Master Chef;
and Undead and Necromantic teams, who have to take a
Necromancer. The special rules for these types of Wizard are
described below. Note: Khemri teams cannot have a Wizard. |
Here's my interpretation on the matter:
If all wizards are forbidden from a league, then Necromantic/Undead Necromancers' raise dead-spell is forbidden (having a Necromancer in the team is OK because all Necromantic and Undead coaches HAVE to take a Necromancer but performing a spell is an action performed by a wizard), as well Halfling Master chefs' additional re-roll stealing (all Halfling teams HAVE to take a Master Chef), because as per Blood Bowl LRB 4.0 rules both count as wizards. If league rules say "special wizards are allowed", then Halfling/Undead/Necromantic/Dwarf wizards are OK. If all wizards are allowed, then all the wizards are allowed. |

I'm still wondering where you think I dont allow wizards. This is on the home page
"STARS not allowed
Wizards allowed if declared prior to kickoff" |
