I've got OD since I'm aggressive and psychotic like Orko the Sykotik Alien. I used to hang out on some hip hop forums. OD seemed suitable since it's in English and it describes my personality well.
I talk a lot of smack and people tend to not like it. Maybe they got OD'd by OD! |

You'll love this story.
In the original game Quake, which I played a lot,
if you shoot something with a rocket launcher or other methods of overkill,
then the target is "gibbed" and there is a shower of blood and meat where the target used to be.
If you turn up your speakers, you will hear in the background an effect
sounding like a deep voice saying "BLOR" and then some liquid splashing sounds.
A year or two later, I was drawing a comic for a student newspaper at the University.
The comic was an ad for "appendix removal cream", where one could rub this cream over someone's stomach,
and then the skin would invert itself and the appendix would pop out and everyone was happy and shiny and smiling.
I knew I needed some comic-book-style onomatopaeic word for the sound of someone's guts imploding or inverting.
I thought back to the recent days of Quake, remembered the sound, and I wrote in "PLORG!".
I've used that handle in many shooter and strategy games for years since.
The original meaning is often quite apropos.

SillySod is just a name I thought of for my first internet shoot em up, used it ever since

Pope monkey the 1st - stolen from GW staffer
Bernard the yeti - shoot em up had a yeti file that I hacked so everyone saw a yeti instead of normal model file
Father christmas / The easter bunny - good for games with killing spree messages
Death - stolen... death killed person k (or person x was killed by death) |
