fouling works as usual, but when a fouling player is spotted you can try to argue the call in order to prevent the ban, 1d6 is rolled:
1: both coach and player are banned, -1 to brilliant coaching rolls, you will not be able to argue the call anymore;
2-5: the ref is not persuaded and the player is banned;
6: the ref changes his mind and sends the fouling player to the reserve box. |
so, if you roll a 6 on argue the call - is that still a turnover? |

is there anything in the new rules that makes it more worthwhile to keep injured players around rather than just running journeymen? |

Yes. It's in the Q&A. |

Yes it is still a turnover. Max spleenripper argued the call successfully twice tonight but then was finally sent off. You can argue the secret weapon call too. So weapons become more powerful I'd guess. |

Expensive Mistakes:
If Treasury is 100,000gp or greater you must roll for Expensive Mistakes. Roll d6, apply Modifier based on current Treasury, then check the Table. Round losses up to nearest 10,000gp.
Treasury Modifier
100-190 +2
200-290 +1
300-390 +0
400-490 -1
500+ -2
Mistakes Table
1- Lose all but 2d6 x 10k gp
2 Lose half of Treasury
3 Lose d3 x 10k gp
4 Lose d3 x 10k gp
5+ Nothing happens |
do you know if there are plans to implement this? |

I put this on the news item, but incase it's lost in the likely avalanche of posts there:
Thanks for all of the work.
Just one note: GW have encouraged us to stick with the CRP Wizard until Wizzies are addressed in the released rules. I think it would make most sense to leave Wizards 'turned on' as we transition?
Anyways. Exciting times.
I've not got the rules next to me, but I'm slightly surprised to learn a successful arguing of the call is a turnover. I assume that's right, but it feels weird?
Anyway, thanks for the work! |

Removing the wizard would be silly IMO. |

What is this I hear about transferring cash pre-match to buy inducements doesn't give your opponent the same benefit? Have I misunderstood something?
Can someone explain pre-match process for me please? |

@PurpleGoo: the player has fouled and got caught. So it's a turnover. The coach arguing with the ref only affects if the player may play again (is sent to the reserves) or is completely banned from the game. At least that's how I read those rules. |

@PeteW: basically there is no petty cash any more as you access your treasury directly. You do get exta cash for being rhe underdog, but buying inducements does no longer affect your tv. That's the way I read it at least. This is balanced by expensive mistakes, which keeps your treasury low. |

Kalimar - I'm sure you're right, as I say I don't have the rules here. It just feels funny. I have successfully pointed out that my player didn't cheat, after all!
Pete - Yeah, this is one of the two areas of BB2016 I think is a large misstep. I'm generally very positive about the relaunch, but imagine turning up on club night to play a game where you are already the underdog, only for your opponent to pay for extra help you can't counter. It'll be a long couple of hours.
(The other is the really poor and confusing way that cards have been dealt with. GW have a stock 'the league commissioner can do as he likes' policy, and indeed, every league I'm aware of has simply ignored the card silliness. I hope FUMBBL does too; I imagine they'd be a sod to code, quite apart from changing the game substantially)
The rules are far from finished. Everything might well work out on the end. |
