Hey everyone, like Toonie I'd like to join the NWL next season. I just moved back home to Canada from China. I played in the SWL for a bunch of seasons and Toonie and Fool can vouch for me (I hope since they both owe me for mauling me in the SWL). |

THE TRICK OF SCHEDULING MATCHES, REVEALED!!!
A number of games are not getting played on time. We accept responsibility as the tourney organizers for not making these seemingly obvious rules clear enough in the NWL by-laws. Please consider these rules in effect for the rest of the season and every season after that (they will be added to the group page):
1) You must notify the commissioner before the deadline if you need an extension. This implies that at least one of you tried to schedule the match on time. Without this knowledge, we MUST assume both coaches are to blame.
2) You should contact your opponent no less than halfway through the deadline to play your game. Failure to do this will obviously not get the game in. If you plan on being out of town for a period of time, let your opponent know ahead of time.
3) Any game not played on time without notification by either coach to the commissioner may be forfeited by midnight of the day it is due. We will not guarantee that you will get an extension (depending on how much time you need or when you started to try scheduling) no matter what division you are in.
4) There will be penalties for late matches and forfeits next season.
5) Please respect the other coaches in the league by completing games on time. This does not apply to most of you; but please be aware that one game alters the entire schedule of your division and that most people have RLs and have to plan some things ahead of time. |

So 2 days past round 8 deadlines and there are still round 7 games to be played in fringe?
Forfeit those games, and teach people to schedule faster and lets get this show back on the road. I earned my demotion fair and square, and am ready for Season 6!
BTW, grats Celas on taking the Premier trophy for S5. |
