I made it to the semi-finals, facing Azure's Dwarfs. I'm looking forward to kill those 11 dwarfs that stand between me and the finals. We will wait with the game till the other semi has been decided. Think they play next week... |

Iam going out on a limb here and I have hit the upset alert warning button, the red light is on and spinning, the sirens are blaring.
Lords of Dogtown and Grosse Mouse are going to meet in the finals!!!!!
what? Let me explain.
Hemmers come into the match with 11 dwarfs facing 7 players with ST4+.. The Lords will get some CAS/KO early in the match and shortman the Hammers. They will then lean on them with superior numbers and ST and tie down the Hammers. Mutations be damned if you only have 7 dwarfs surrounded by ST4+ dudes with bad breath and a thirst for red meat. All the Lords need to do is shortman the dwarfs and lean on them and they will fold.
On the other side the Loco crew on paper looks like they should slice and dice and easily advance. BUT for some reason rats have this unflappable ability to take damage and keep coming on in hordes. The Loco crew will be overrun by the vermin and their superior firepower will mean nuaght in this match. In the closing turns of the match the vermin somehow get a Turn Over and some low down Gutter runs the loose ball in for the game winner.
Both these matches on paper seem to indicate a Dorf/Cdorf match up in the finals. But I got that feeling in my gut. It aint going to happen.
Get some Spec time in and witness. |

GLT Spectators Stunned
What a match!!!! The specs were stunned as the Mause crew outlasts the Locos and hang on for the victory!!!
The vermin are able to outlast the CD's in a very tense last few turns. Huge swings of momentum in the second half, some luck for the skaven and a stumbling and bumbling Bull in the closing turns seals the victory for the ratmen.
What a match...This is what majors are all about. Close, down to the closing turns and the favor or disfavor of NUFFLE on full display. |

The Skaven stat freak one turner will miss the final too after a major injury from a fireball! Plus another Gutter injured. How the rats will weep. |
