Ouch. Just... ouch.

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3446531

And so Texas ends its season early and makes an unexpected move to rejoin the non-AQ division. :/

Actually, I haven't.

Close, and bigger players lost, but not in terms of % of team lost, no matter how you measure it. For Texas, this was a clean 25% of their players lost (inc. 33% of their positionals), over 30% of total team spp lost (almost 30% of all earned skills), and 290k in players gone (over 25%).

And that doesn't include the -MA 13 spp lino. He's sticking around for the foreseeable future (at least if I can help it - which apparently I don't have a lot of control over, now that I think of it...) Embarassed

So, no, I actually haven't had worse. Others certainly have, and I'm sure I will, and this is far from "retirement" (which we've all seen), but this is a new low tide mark for me, personally.

(Of course, on the up side, I finally got a respectable "elf" amount of game spp - 17!) Rolling Eyes

Don't worry Licker - now I'm just that much softer and juicier a chewtoy for the big dogs. My journeymen will make the same satisfying crunch.

Inducement City, here I come! Laughing

*News out of Fresno State*

The Gronski brothers are considering declaring for the draft after their Junior Seasons

a small quote from their press conference, "we feel we have developed as much as we can and are looking forward to new challenges. We are focused on getting Fresno Bowl eligible this season and bringing home a trophy right now and will make an official decision after the season."

Reports are this decision is in response to nagging Knee injuries both have suffered and they are concerned about their draft stock sliding and not getting paid "CASH MONEY" in the pros.

More to come

Is this legal? If so, it's a move I'll need to consider when the time comes.

If you can do this, it would be very smart. That way, they don't have to face SDSU. Twisted Evil

"Is this legal?" indeed!

Sounds like RC got some "inducement" from some NBFL coaches facing a thin draft this season... Wink

(Not saying "He did" - saying "It sounds like"...) Cool

You don't have to accuse Robo of colluding with me. I'm going to be his rival here, and I play in his conference there: Robo wants to see me go down, I assure you. If Robo thought it wise to keep the Gronskis going another season, he would. If he can retire/declare them and start rebuilding a season ahead of the other guys without wrecking his strategy, it's an excellent idea. And I'm not just saying that as his opponent, though admittedly a couple rookie Warriors would be a bit of a relief. The smart thing to do going into your fourth season, if you can declare your juniors, would be to declare enough Juniors that your Senior class isn't more than about 5 guys. Especially when you have great draft picks with niggles.

I tried to make it clear - I'm not accusing anyone of anything. Quite the opposite, it doesn't matter - it's the mere appearance, the actual end effect that worries me.

Just as in (some) RL college drafts, perhaps a "4 season" rule should be in place, just to avoid any questions? (Or not - the NBFL is not overly tight on the Hows and Whys of the draft roster - either way.)

I hear that. Only in my 2nd year of the Team, and already wondering if and how I'm going to "pace" my positional graduates (if they survive long enough to raise the question).

Always easier to skill up a player when the rest of the team is strong. Confused
