Oh, that is some sweet stuff right there! I can't wait to break out my old chaos halflings again. I also love what you did with the gnomes (nice to see a nod to Poortvliet, by the way), I just hope one of the talented icon-wizards out there will make a new set for them to reflect this new look. The strigoyans are another favourite, and a love the facial expression on the thralling.
I hope that Shadow takes a few looks at these when he's working on the stunty rosters... |

Yup, I may go back to it, after seeing these.
And Knut, take all the time in the world if you need, to do the stars, the results are worth it |

These are simply AMAZING! There has been a noticeable progression in quality of the work as you've done these. They just keep getting better and better.
The standouts for me are:
- The Gnomes, ridiculously awesome. Daredevil is my favourite.
- The mechavermin with the signature athletic sock on one leg
- The Faeries, love the homage to Duke (Pixie), Notre Dame (Leprechaun), and I am struggling with the Brownie, but am sure the pose is another US college team...?
- The standard Pygmy, because it looks like you modelled it after the actor who played the Oopma Loompa in the latest remake of Willy Wonka.
Makes we want to go create icons! |

Hey, thanks for the feedback guys. Really glad to hear you like the Stunty pics. In some ways I found these more fun to do than the CRP portraits as the slightly non canon nature of the division gave me freedom to play around with some ideas.
Gran, You are right it was a fairly unsubtle nod to David the Gnome, I just hope it doesn't shatter some childhood memories
And WhatBall- yes the Fairies could also be subtitled the Gridiron Mascot team. The Knute Rockne/Fighting Irish link was just too tempting an 'in-joke' to pass up. And believe it or not the Brownie is based fairly closely an an old mascot used by... you guessed it, the Cleveland Browns! (Just google it you'll see what I mean).
Finally, before I kick off the star players can I put out a request for info on the Chaos Halflings' Logan. Looking at his name and stats a rather obvious, short, clawed, mutant comic character comes to mind. Does anyone know what the designers intentions were with regards to this character?
Thanks

Awesome!
With those pics, I can't wait for stunties to come back!
One little mistake:
If I'm correctly, the Stikka belongs to the Forest Goblins, not the Squig Herders. He also looks like he does, so you only mixed it up while putting the pics on your blog. |
