Four Werewolves.

There is no Healer.
Every villager is a Slayer/Hunter.
Plorg is the GM.
Interested?
Explanation:
I've seen a weakness in games that feature strong unique positionals.
The fate of the Villager team depends mostly on the skill of the positionals.
If your Seer or Healer are inactive or have bad judgement, the Villagers usually lose.
If everyone is a mild positional... then every Villager gets to help their team win in a meaningful way.
That's my theory anyway.

<b>Werewolf - Carnageton</b>
<i>The battle-hardened town of Carnageton has been besieged by a new enemy.
Werewolves seek to slaughter every Warrior in the village.
Each Warrior is a professional and long-time wolf hunter,
equipped with the finest skills and weapons to find and kill Werewolves.</i>
<b>The Forces of Evil </b>
4 Werewolves
(25% of total # of players)
<b>The Innocents </b>
12 Warriors
<b>Rules:</b>
<b>Burn Time</b>
Each day, all the players get to discuss who should be burned that day at sunset (<b>1800 bb time, Burn Time</b>).
When a player wants to vote, he should type <b>Vote <player></b> in bold type in his post.
A player may subsequently change his vote.
To do this, he should type <b>Unvote <previous vote> - Vote <new vote></b> in a new post.
Self-nominations are forbidden and wont count.
The player with the highest number of votes will be burned at the appointed time and his identity is revealed.
<b>In the event that the votes are tied between two or more different players,
ONE of the vote leaders WILL be selected randomly and burned that day.</b>
Abstentions or no votes will be ignored entirely in the count.
Posts with votes in must not be edited!
If they are, that player is allowed no vote that day.
Use separate posts for your votes and your argumentation.
<b>Kill Time</b>
Each night (<b>1800 bb time, Kill Time</b> immediately after Burn Time) another battle in the terrible war will be revealed.
Before Kill Time, EACH living Werewolf can submit a target
they want to kill and PM me with the information.
Of the submitted valid targets, one target will be randomly selected and killed!
That victim may very well retaliate and take their suspect with them!
<b>In the event that no target was received,
one of the Warriors WILL be selected randomly and killed that night.</b>
Before Kill Time, EACH living Warrior can submit a target
who they suspect is a Werewolf and PM me with the information.
If the Warrior is attacked at Kill Time, and the nominated target is a Werewolf,
then that Werewolf will be killed along with the Warrior.
<b>Warriors may NOT state in the thread who they will be tracking at the next Kill Time.</b>
If they do, their tracking power has no effect that night
(since their target is on to them and can cover their tracks or play decoy).
<b>General Rule #1:</b>
Since every player in the game will likely be sending targets via PM, the following is in effect:
The GM will accept whatever target is in the most recent PM before any Kill Time.
If your target has not changed in the past seven days,
you don't need to send a PM every day with the same target.
<b>General Rule #2:</b>
Due to scheduling logistics, Kill Time may occur immediately after Burn Time.
All players may send an ordered list of backup targets in case their first choice is Burned.
<b>The Factions :</b>
Werewolves
Werewolves win if they have equal or greater number than the Warriors.
Werewolves start with the knowledge of the other Werewolves.
They are allowed to discuss the game outside the main thread with each other but not with any other player(s).
<b>Warriors</b>
Warriors win if all the evil creatures are dead.
Warriors may only discuss the game in the main thread.
<b>Warriors may NOT state in the thread who they will be tracking at the next Kill Time.</b>
If they do, their tracking power has no effect that night
(since their target is on to them and can cover their tracks or play decoy). |

Not if you keep bumping it. Ooops! Anyway, as Plorg mentioned, this will be moved once it starts and won't appear in the recent forum topics anymore. |

This could work pretty well. Only issue is the possibility that the wolves might die rather quickly. Particularly in the endgame? A 1 wolf, 1 villager split would only result in a draw.
How about giving every innocent the opportunity to be a semi-seer instead? They could scan people every kill time (i.e. follow them). On a roll of a 6 (on a D6) they would identify the suspect as either innocent or evil. This could work because it guides the voting somewhat but maintains a sense of confusion (that was lost when Cribble was seer). |
