Me and a couple of my buddies are still pretty new to BB. We all know, especially in friendly games, it's bad manner and rather douche-ish to foul in the last few turns.
I just played my brother and Necro against his Skaven in a rather tight game. as you can see in the replay. His scores against me in the game were rather "dodgey". it comes down to I have turn 16 and he's got one guy in line of the endzone with a chance after some movements, his downed 10ma runner. I slighlty tie up the thrower at the LoS (though forward movement is not suggested) and I only have the downed runner/dodgemaster touched with 1 guy, who are both next to the endzone. Is it wrong of me to try to conserve my win on the final turn with a foul on the runner to at least stun him up? Or do I try another guy touching him to make it harder for him to move (though it was only like 4+ and dodge I think)?
Anyone watch the last turn or so of the replay think anything on this? Thoughts, arguements, concernsm questions? |

Regardless of the turn that is what many people regard as a "tactical foul", nothing wrong with that ever. |

To me the discussion about late fouling is always about the state of the game at the time. I detest fouls made in turn 16 when the game is all over, but any foul you think you need to make to win the game is a good foul.
This makes your perfectly legitimate in my opinion. |

Tactical foul is always good despite what turn it is. |

In fact, If someone criticizes you in that situation, call him a big Jennifer and suggest Candyland might be more his speed. |

How could it possibly be wrong?
You have enough to worry about trying to protect your own players and get as good a result as possible without trying to think about whether you're being 'mean', or something.
It's your opponent's job to look after his own players.
Edit: Hang on. You were playing your brother!? Every match against a brother should be a no-holds-barred grudge match with as much fouling as possible ... Anything else really would be wrong! |

In the situation; Leading by one TD, final turn. Opposing team may get a shot at the ball on their final turn, and have one player in scoring position.
Pretty much an auto boot on the player that can score. |

yep, it's the purpose of the foul that makes it bad sportsman or not.
Playing versus 3 skavens with a lead, a stall and foul them to death is poor, even if you do it at turn 3 of half 2. With a shot at winning, go on and foul. |

The only time I object to fouling is when it is for no in-game reason, just to damage your opponent's team. Getting a 2nd cas or stopping him from using that guy to score on his own T16 are both perfectly legit uses of fouling. |

I voted yes. Every poll needs a statistical outlier. |

It was this same reasoning that got the Conservative Party of Canada elected to form government. |

You should have added a, "It is never wrong to foul" poll option. |
