Ok so im looking for a life challenge but cant think of much so was wondering if people could throw me some serious ideas?
A little background, i have recently been layed off so have time on my hands but little money Im at the ripe old age of 27 and want to do something to remember that uses this opportunity of time i currently have before it gone again.
I dont want to sit around doing nothing all day. Kinda thing i been thinking but ive already done, for example would be, climb snowdon or bike lands end john o'groats but i am looking for ideas out of left field so anything will do.
I do still have to be around for interviews etc so only small weekend things or something that can be undertaken in stages over time can really be done.
All suggestions welcome |

You can also try to become concious.
Study Budhism, quantum mechanics, Des Cartes, Sartre, meditation etc...
Become one with the universe... and float off into nirwana.
Btw, if you succeed, give me some pointers |

Lol Wolfdude,
And what would that "help" ?
You better go into politics, or start a peacefull movement that tries to get the same attention. Piracy, endangering yourself and others for a cause that seems to be "just".
Trying to become consious, and seeing the world for what it trully is, is better then joining the chaos?
Anyway, quantum physics still has a mystical site to it.
- Matter is an illusion. Matter is made up out of molecules, these molecules are made up out of atoms, atoms are made up out of a nucleus and an electron. An Atom excists out of a big percentage of nothingness. Still we can feel matter, we can observe it, we can taste it. And it excists out of (almost) nothing. The field is just more dense and our mind gives meaning to this illusion.
- The quantum field that they study, is controlled by a certain power. This power is still a mystery.
- Budhism, DesCartes, Sartre ... and other philosophical streams have all come to the conclusion that we are, what we want to be. In quantum physics we come to the conclussion, that we manipulate reality by just observing it. (most profound experiment to watch for: the double slit experiment) Change is possible (and more then just the things Obama is promissing). |

Maybe Volunteer to help in a third world country for a few months.
Will give you a new perspective, isn't likely to cost alot and will probably even help with your CV when you return and look for work. |

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women.
Seriously though, I'm in kind of in the same boat, and I took a "find the career that will make you happy" course. It was a really great use of a few weeks. It helped me decide that I was going to stop pissing and moaning about some stuff I wanted to do and just do it. I'll let you know how it works out in a year or so. |

Well, I have a good plot for a sci-fi novel that I'll never write, if you want it..... |

Why amateur?
Strap your boots on and go wandering for 2 weeks, not planning ahead, just walking about on a whim.
Else you could try to let the dice decide your life for a few months. For inspiration read The Dice Man. |
