Operating System:
Windows Vista
Java Version (Output from: java -version):
(Build 1.6.0_07)
Bug Description:
Slann catcher 1 (Linguaccia) throws succesful pass to slann catcher 2 (Sberleffo). Catch roll is [2], which should succeed (AG4: roll a 3+ to succeed. Catch roll is [2] +1 for Diving Catch = 3) but the ball is dropped.
Also (I think this has been mentioned elsewhere), there should also be an additional +1 modifier for catching an accurate pass, but this is not working in the client either.

Why would diving catch give a +1 modifier for catching an accurate pass?
Edit: never mind, I see the skill got changed in the new rules. |

Quote: | Diving Catch (Agility )
The player is superb at diving to catch balls others cannot reach and
jumping to more easily catch perfect passes. The player may add 1 to
any catch roll from an accurate pass targeted to his square. In addition,
the player can attempt to catch any pass , kic k off or crowd throw-in, but
not bouncing ball, that would land in an empty square in one of his tackle
zones as if it had landed in his own square without leaving his current
square. A failed catch will bounce from the Diving Catch player's square.
If there are two or more players attempting to use this skill then they get
in each other’s way and neither can use it. |

Yeah, Diving Catch is now sub-optimal, instead of being just flat-out useless. If the client is able to deal with passes to empty squares, you can pull off some occasional tricks (making passes that are 1 square short of the target, passing to squares that don't allow INT attempts, etc), which might make it fun to play around with. The +1 on regular accurate passes might be nice for AG3 teams that actually want to run a passing game. |

I watched the replay. The catch should have +1 for the pass being accurate and +1 from diving catch on a accurate pass, but it got neither modifier. |

So, now you can position your catcher outside the end zone and throw to an empty square inside the end zone and have him/her catch it? Nice! I can't wait to move my hail-mary pass pro elves over to CRP! |

No. You don't move your diving catch player to the square where the ball lands. He simply hauls in the ball from any adjacent square to where he is standing.
EDIT: nevermind, i misunderstood your post I think. Though Im now not sure what your point is after rereading it |

Okay, gotcha. I missed that little nuance. |
