Long term I could have 16 blodgers, ogres would be lucky to have block. Sure they get a lot of dice, but they're easy to bring down. Die as often as dwarves do. |

At higher TR Ogres are just ridicilous.
No matter how hard your Orcs or Chaos are; you are just hammered to bits when faceing 11 ST5 players.
Unless the Ogre coach fails a LOT of bonehead rolls. And even then... |

I'd like to see some comments yes or no. From looking at matches played I don't see humans playing Ogres that much. |

yeah I think high rated elves would do pretty good against ogres. but bashy teams will get out bashed I think--or any other team that has a hard time dodging away. |

11 players with guard and mblow = no way to get through. block tackle? yay when facing 3dblocks in their favour... they WILL get pows. |

Easy to bring down wtf.... and btw when you make a comparison you're supposed to actually make a point for your view not against. |

PS; no need to get lucky, just get them to the 4th skill-roll.
An all too easy feat really with ST5 and AV9 Ogres tend to be rather survivable. |

5th skill roll before you pick up auto doubles.
There are 4 ST skills they HAVE to pick up first. Guard, Multiple Block, Break Tackle, and Piling On.

I think ogres are really broken. unless you get crazy lucky they are hard to kill, especially when they are lined up in a row and all have gaurd . I can never find a game for my ogre team and its new so i would think people are pretty scared of them... |

Ogres are genuinely a scary team to play......not a mistake i plan to make again
however am suddenly inspired to make an ogre team. They are like an inverted gobbo team.
Infact the presence of an ogre team pretty much makes a gobbo team seem a silly idea |

You can't just suppose that Ogres will get to say TR 250 without suffering a lot more than other teams from aging and slow growth. Even without those rather useless skills they tend to get, an team of 11 ogres and 6 RRs they'll need to counter BH is around TR 200. By then, most teams can either get them down or run between their legs.
Have a look at

to read about why FUMBBL data are difficult to use to evaluate the Ogre team. |
