What does 'Your opponent is not using an authenticated FUMBBL roster' actually mean and how can it be overcome?

I would appreciate VERY fast replies.

Thanks and have a nice day!

He has not checked the box in "Options" for using FUMBBL login.

It basically means the JBB program is having trouble receiving the team URL from fumbbl. It basically means the match won't be "official" since the teams were not authenticated. The only way I've found of bypassing this bug is of reloading until it stops happening...

I'm not entirely sure what it means - but I think if you play against him - the result will not count as official.
So no SPPs but no Cas either - consider it a friendly.

Maybe someone else can give a better explanation.

Trouble is, his team doesnt appear in his dugout! Which of course is a small problem!

Read above what I said abot how to overcome it.

The others have made good statesment on what it means.

Make sure your opponent uses:
http://fumbbl.com/teams/Team+Name.html

And NOT:
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=XXXXX

Yep, as Reventlov said, he most likely just needs to:

1. Start the Java BBowl client
2. Click on Options
3. Under User Options check FUMBBL Login
4. Join the game
