So what is the proper protocol of taking contact in the chat? Some hate it when people says hi first, others like me get irritated when someone doesn't even have the decency to say hi first. But what is the proper protocol? Just so we know I started this thread as a spinoff to another thread on the forum. |

I think that the games should always be given a friendly enviroment. A 'Hi' or 'Hello' is always a good start. |

I'm a fan of punctuation (!?".;,:]), so my offers will usually begin with the line: 'hi: would your victims like to play my goblins?' - followed by a link to the team on the next line. So you get a pleasantry and straight to the point. |

Being British, manners are everything. Also people who reply to a reasonable game offer with a plain 'no' annoy me. Cant help it really, I guess having a different upbringing makes all the difference. I've learnt to just ignore this and delve into fumbbl knowing that most Europeans have different standards to me. |

I prefer to start with 'hi' to see if the coach is actually active in chat before i offer a game. |

I like "Hi". Pleasantries are ESSENTIAL. As are cheeky jibes. Invitations I tend to decline tend to look a bit like...
"My DE yr CD"
Grrr. We're here to have fun. At least use a question mark, pal. Question marks are fun. Look:

What pac and Optihut said. Those two things don't exclude each other. |

i prefer the classic self-degradation...something along the lines of "would your team X like to beat the snot out of my team Y?"

My personal favourite is to ask another amazon player for some girl on girl action. Almost always get a smile, even if it is stupid and immature, but before that I say hi, otherwise it would sound slutty... |

My goodness, people don't say "hi"? Peolpe get mad when people say "hi" first? If someone doesn't even type some kind of formality, then you know that he/she is only lookng for a match in which there will be no chatting, and the other coach will do anything he/she can do to win. It is an indicator of "unfunness". |
