Wolves are expensive and fragile, and you simply cant protect 2 of them without any skills (aka blodge). One is more than enough until he can take care of himself. On the other hand, golems are the best defensive units in bb, hard to take out, a free dodge every turn that succeeds 50% of times, etc. So you need 2 of them, and flanks are closed. Take a wight since a safe blitzer is a must when all your rr's are gone or you have to knock down that annoying gutter or skink or whatever. Also take a ghoul as an excellent and dirt cheap ball carrier.

2 golems, 1 wight, 1 wolf, 1 ghoul, 6 zombies, 3 rr, 9 ff

I started out with
2 Werewolves
2 Flesh Golems
1 Ghoul
6 Zombies
3 RR
6 FF

...and they´re doing great. Got blodge on both ww after 3 games. Wights and ghouls are cheap enough to be bought after hand so you don´t really need them from start.
