In our 210th match, the Weapon Masters have achieved the magic milestone of 100 victories. No other team I've ever coached has 100 GAMES, let alone 100 WINS. But this legendary skaven team just keeps on plugging away, losing players left and right but always keeping in mind the scoreboard, winning more often than not. Yes, some skaven teams have a higher win percentage vs total games played, but so what? We've had our own road to travel, and we've kept at it through down times so difficult and despairing I doubt few other coaches would've kept the team running. *Bit of self-praise there, but tell me I'm wrong?*
And just to prove to myself that I didn't get all my wins by playing "soft" matches, I set out to take on all challengers, regardless race, as I neared the century mark of wins. This meant playing a steady diet of chaos, orc, undead, CD, even khemri. Only 2 of my last 13 games were vs elves...think they had issues with my claw/rsc guy, don't know...but I'm proud of my boys, all the same. |
