There's always a pair of 1's somewhere in the future stream of dice rolls. At any point it could be the next two dice to come out. So, every time you're rolling the dice, consider what kind of position you'll be in if you fail this - sometimes a 2DB won't help you that much even if you get a cas, but failing the 2DB will mean a failed TD or a TD against you.
Practice chainpushes. If mastering assists and assist cancellation is tier one of block strategy, chainpushes are tier two - they magnify the effect of your blitz. They really help AG3 teams avoid having to dodge, and they can put your catchers in position to score a turn earlier or score on T8 when it's otherwise impossible.
Practice move/handoff/move/pass/score chains, and watch for them on defense - smashing the middle person is often the easiest way to stop it. |

There is a five pages stiky post all about tactiks. With plenty of good advice not only for n00bs. First good thing is to read a little. For more extensive discussion the main problem probably is the extensive part (and order)
My quick hints are:
1. each turn, think what do you want to do and wich is the easiest way to do that. (if you want to win, you'll learnt to pay atention to the ball and keep trak of player skills)
2. try to learnt what can your team do and how. (may be Dwarves can maximice 2d blocks and win, numerical advantage works wonders for them, on the other side, elves need other aproach) |
