A look into L'Anguille High Tower:
Forest of Arden Division
Out of the top teams, here we have the Fangs of Sotek only. Due to the lack of other well-known top-rating GL teams, they seem to have an easy time getting into the playoffs...or will they? BiggieB's Orcland Backraiders have been fierce, especially while struggling versus higher TR teams. There's also Aconite's Forever After, Hogglas's bounty-hunting Environmental Hazards, Drud's woodies and danny 3115's Stouts - a heavy hitting Dwarf team, which might crush the Fangs of Sotek's hopes already on round 1!
TR-wise, the other teams in this division could be expected to have a hard time. However, their TR is not lower because of lack of skills...maybe they are hunting handicaps instead? dzonvejn's Guard-packed Grudgebearer Dwarves have possibly the sturdiest LoS in the whole division, G_Force's 80s Toon Villains are masters of both passing and running plays and Thomas's Girls seem to be impossible to fall down unless you are playing Dwarves.
Sannez River Division
When it comes to a battle of the season one championship, this division is much more fierce than Arden: we have sk8bcn's Gork and Mork Servants, Aconite's Reclamation, my Cassie and her friends - as well as Erod's Korhedron's Fanatics and Drud's Jacks all fighting for the limited playoff spots. And the other teams aren't easy opponents, either: Bantha's Rotten Jesters would ruin anyone's passing game, Pingo's mighty Wok Horde is ready to crush some skulls and BigTack's blodging Ex-Cheerleaders will be a huge pain for any team without plenty of Tackle.
The underdogs of this division seem to be Jurassic-Monkey's Grave Situation, kauppi's Mr BIG and the Funny Fellows and Lander's Shadows of Hoeth. But given enough handicaps, anything could happen... |

The maximum amount of points possible to be gained from Languille is about 65. Therefore, it seems that one of the three following teams will be the one to win GL season one:
Red Diamonds (soren72), 175 points, not in tourney
Moonlight Stalkers (dr_scitt), 160 points, might join Languille
Fangs of Sotek (dr_scitt), 137 points, In Languille
However, the GGB player awards might meddle in and tie up some of that gap between the runner-up teams.
And if the season winner would at some point become evident, we can always speculate about the Mootland and Languille winners, as well as the final standings: top 10 of season one - which are bound to turn around during these last tournaments of the season. |

dr_scitt's Fangs of Sotek might get enough points to win or then his Moonlight Stalkers if they join. The others do not really have any chance. So it is either dr_scitt or dr_scitt. |
