Just had a game (tie) where my opponent got +2 on his FF roll with a team FF of 18.

+1 from 2 Td,
+1 from 2 cas (even though one of them was a foul)

-1 from FF

how can that ever be +2 ??

The game was tied by me as the last action, could that be the reason ?

I'm not sure I'm getting this... He got +1 on his FF. He got 2 TDs and 2 Casualties. That's +2 on the FF-roll. Every 10 FF adds -1.

He still gets +2. He just gets -1 on top of it. That's +1 on the roll so he either got a 5 or a 6 on his FF-roll. What exactly is wrong with that?

Tournament final gives +1

Handicap Bad Press halves FF. 18 FF would be 9 and thus no -1 mod.

Bad Press is the explanation then.

Wouldn't that still be a client bug ? It's a handicap after all, so it would lose its effect after the game and thus before the FF roll.

/edit: It definitely says Ff is lowered 'for the match' in the Bad Press explanation text while the FF is rolled in the post-match sequence. I.e. the Bad Press effect would be worn off by then.

So he had Bad Press?
Then that's definitely the explanation. But yes, it is a client bug. As you said yourself, the FF rolls is in the post-match sequence.

I just saw this topic. There is indeed a bug with the post match FF calculation in the client as it does count the CAS caused by fouls. I verified it with simulated stand alone games and reported it in this thread:
http://fumbbl.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=4725&highlight=foul

I also added a bug report here:
http://bugs.fumbbl.com/show_bug.cgi?id=667

I also checked recently and the bug is still present in version 8.5 of the client.

in JavaBB, the FF roll counts cas caused by both crowd-pushes and by fouls. It also leaves the FF halved from Bad Press (not sure what the correct rule is there ...).

The bad press is right.

you get the full gate as handis are done after rolling gate and you do your ff roll after getting the handicap.
