And it's a kick-off for the Old World Welcoming Cup

The groups were randomly set by nuffle

Predictions

Group 1 (TR 100-125)

1- Kleists vamplifiers (vampire) against my own Night of the living rats (skaven). Both team unskilled, but the rats with one game played. The rats will play with handicap. I deem my rats favourites here Smile
2- Calador's Hvilken Smerte (Khemri) vs Trickticklers new goblin team Dirty Goblin Tricksters. The khemri very bashy, but the goblins may be too small for them to hit. The Khemri will play with handicap. I would really love to see the goblins win this one, but the Khemri must be the favourites here.

Group 2 (TR 126-150)

1- Kong-dk's Grotto Grunts (CD) vs Demoorck's Niffleheim Nightmares (Human): I would deem The Niffleheim Nightmares small favourites in this game. But it can go both ways and the game could easily get violent as well as both teams have a few hard hitting players.

2- The 2nd game in this group is skaven vs skaven, Calador's Dreamers Dream vs M'kari's Skritchen's Cohort. Caladors team with 11 players is more skilled and have a few players with extraordinary strength and agility and with more experience on the field. M'kari's 12 players have on the other side more hard hitters. Another close one but I deem Caladors rats favourites here.

Group 3 (TR 151-200)

1- Kong-dk's Kvaest mig (Lizards) vs mymLaban's Blessed Are The Sick (rotters): The Lizards with 5 unskilled Sauruses and only 11 games played are the underdogs versus the rotters with 33 games played and much more skilled players. The rotters will play with a handicap though and a lucky roll here for the lizards could make the difference, but all in all I deem the Rotters as favourites.

2- Calador's Zau Rahel (DE) is a very old team from the time were agile elf's were aplenty, also a few guarding linemen and one steroid pumped muscular blitzer. On the other side we have Maleruns Death Awaken (UD) a lot less agile but harder hitting due the mummies, one of these surprisingly fast. Also 4 ghouls. The Elfs will have to play with huge handicaps in this game, but I still deem the Dark Elfs favourites in this game. But on the other hand, those mummies, some lucky handicap rolls and a little dirty playing can make meat out of those elfs and make the game a feast for the undead.

3- Trickticklers In the Blue (Elf) vs Montagne's NewOrcleanzZaintz (Orc) will be a close one. The Orcs will certainly try to outbash the elfs, but with any luck the elfs will outrun them. A lot of dodgy elfs on that team, but also very fragile. The fans favour the orcs as do I.

4- ElGuappo's Bedmi Boyz (orc) vs REDspecial's Flash Gordon (woodelf). The Orcs will play with lots of handicap, but with only 10 players vs 15 orcs, the woodies are underdogs here.

Group 4 (TR 200+)

1- Klinto's Masters of Caos (chaos) - an evil hard hitting killing machine against Calador's Cursum Perficio (wood elfs) - This is the killer match of the first round. The Masters might get fed in this game, but the dodgy elfs could easily (...well maybe not that easily) win the game still with a few fast goals before they are eaten. I deem the woodies favourite for the win, but they might also end up as desert.

2- mymLabans Red Barets (Orc) vs raae's Doomsday Ravens (human). The classic lineup between humans and orcs. The orcs will play with handicap. The fans favour the humans, but I on the other hand deem the Orcs favourites, but it can easily go the other way around also.

First game in the OWL welcoming cup. Three bloodthirsty vampires and their league of minions faced the smelly little rats. Luckily the vampires didn't like rat blood so they had to feast on their own minions. Meanwhile the rats got 2 goals. As the end of the match was getting nearer the vampires had scored a goal and was close on scoring the equalizer, but luckily the ball was fumbled in the end and the rats are ready for the finals.

The Niffleheim Nightmares edges in to the next round! Defending their status as favorites they moved one step further to total victory.

Brilliant coaching - Brilliant luck - Average players

This could possibly be the best team on fumbbl right now.

The opposition was fierce but it proved futile to fight the heroic Nightmares.

The Final of the OWWC TR 100-125

Dirty Goblin Tricksters vs Night of the Living Rats

A very close match this one. The dirty tricksters lived up to their name, but no real damage done. One of the critters got hit by a rock and died moments later due to severe head injury. No tears in the eyes of any of the rats at that time, only pure determination - actually that rock paved the road to victory. At the end of the 2nd half the stinking rats finally made the equalizer and the game went in to overtime. Excitement until the end also here. Heavily undermaned the Tricksters somehow still managed to keep the rats from scoring until the end of overtime, where finally the rats scored the final goal and thus won the Old World Welcoming Cup.

Underdogs on to the semis

Kvæst Mig ! vs. Blessed Are The Sick

Kvæst Mig, a team created purely for the purpose that their malevolent coach can see them battered and crunched , have cleared their way to the semifinals in the Old World Welcoming Cup by narrowly beating rotter-team Blessed Are The Sick.
The relatively short story of KM is littered with the death of 3 saurusses, and the survivng saurusses are well known for their lack of skill. The team does field a few players that seem to be on their way to stardom, the skink duo of Larsson and super-skink Madsen have kept the tds coming for the team and are regarded by some as the teams only claim to fame.

The match started regularly enough with Madsen scored within the first three turns, but unexpectedly it was to be the only td of the game. Madsen dodged out of a tackle zone, grabbed the ball, out of a tackle zone again and ran for the end zone, scoring.
After that the powerful rotters upped up the violence factor and ended up sending 3 KM players out of this match. Try as they might, this diplay of raw power did not aid them in achieving the equalizer, the ballcarier found himself locked down by opponents, without possibilty of escape.

2nd half saw the match turning into a brawl, but without as much bloodshed as the first. The rotters caged their way towards the end zone, meanwhile leaving but 7 KM players left on the field, and seemed destined to bring the match into overtime, but a minefield of sidestopping skinks, halted the advance. The match ended when the ballcarrying beastman was tripped while trying to escape this skink-field , heading for the endzone.

A dangerous match for the KM team but they are used to such hazards, and have mostly come out on top, despite the adversities.
Next in line is the skillfull dark elves from Zau Rahel, where once again and as always the KM team are the underdogs. The players have vowed to fight to the bitter end for the place in the finals so the dark elves should expect a determined and devious opponent.
