Having a problem with JavaBowl -- anyone here any good at helping with such? -- He's running a WinXP system, we were using 5.4, then 5.5, now 5.6 Patches yet the problem persists.
At end of first half his computer disconnects and I don't get the end of the half save . . . and the computer then wants to start the half over again. I don't have this problem with anyone else, so we are pretty sure it is on his machine. Can anyone suggest anything to help? |

WinXP seems to have problems with java bbowl and either some network hardware or some network drivers.
There is also a possiblily that your friend has a version of XP that includes a microsoft java runtime that comflicts with the sun version. I believe microsoft was required to remove it from newer version because of a lawsuit or something.
First check to see if your network drivers are XP certified. Also try getting the latest drivers from the manuf.
Two people have reported that they changed hardware (and thus drivers) and the problem went away. One person changed their network card. The other person changed their modem. So that is something to try if you have another net card or modem around. |

If you are using a custom team file, make sure it is 100% correct. Whenever I hit 'OK' at the half my computer would reboot. But only with MY teamfile.
Found out I had errors in it. I didn't have 0's in the team members skills and whatnot area plus I had the team name incorrect. I had 'Lizardmen' instead of 'Lizardman'. Once I fixed those it worked great. If you are using your own team file, open up one of the stock ones with the same race and compare everything.
