Do you think GW will put out new teams for those races that have been changed? I.e. it seems kinda pointless to go out and buy the boxed dark elf team, only to have a thrower you can't use and no runners or assasins.
So does anyone know anything or has anyone heard anything?

Some people use the throwers as runners.... they are effectively the same but with dump off instead of pass.

Dunno if they are planning on doing anything new. They might be, probably nothing major though.

I do have some genuine news...

When I went to buy my snotling bloodbowl team a few months ago, I discovered that they'd discontinued the line about a month before. This was a real blow because those bloodbowl snotlings were really sweet models (I make do with normal snotlings). Might suggest that they're making some new ones (I hope).

Personally I find using throwers as runners to be an anoying substitute when nothing better is around. Impact made a DE runner that is alright, I'll probably get a few of those if GW doesn't put anything out. But ok, I know what you're getting at.
But still it doesn't make sense to sell a box of minis that is more or less archaic. And what about norse?

Regarding the snotlings it's a damn shame. They were cool.

I'm quite sure that GW will create new minis. They have a lot of sculptors. Some of them might be happy to create BB stuff as variety from their ususal work.

I doubt it really...
Everything concerning Specialist Games is in the fridge right now. It's not the sculpting that is the problem, it's the casting costs for low quantities of models (compared to 40k or FB models).

Only positive news coming from gw regarding BB is that they know it is their most valuable range in specialist games and it will probably be the first one getting attention once (or if) SG is pulled back out of the fridge.

It's a werecreature (wolf, bear). Either the necromantic wolf or the old starplayers Wilhelm Chaney (werewolf) or the werebear fig (forgot the name). There are some suitable fantasy battle figs as well.

I very much doubt it there will be any more BloodBowl models from Games Workshop.

They have just changed mail order so that you can no longer buy bits or single models (bar a few very popular items). So now if you want Bloodbowl models you have to buy entire teams and the few stars/big guys they still stock Sad

and you only get 12 guys in a team box, so need to buy 2 teams to get a squad.

The latest white dwarf suggested that blood bowl was coming back. There was a picture of a spiked ball and something along the lines of "do we have to make it any clearer?". So this was either in reference to the upcoming video game or a possible retail re-release. Either way it means the environment looks right for new miniatures.

Blood Bowl is being sold in a variety of independent game stores in Australia.

Check out MilSims - I have pre-ordered a CD team, CD booster, and 2 Bull Centaurs. They will ship in February apparently.
