I have managed to get onto IRC - Brussels.BE.AfterNET.Org, 6667 - , but can't find a #FUMBBL channel. Is it down, or am I looking in the wrong place?

There a #FUMBBL-ITA, and plenty of other channels that begin with "Fu" Embarassed , but not the one I am looking for.

I'm, completely new to IRC, so forgive my ineptitude if indeed that is what is causing the problem.

Rorshac - type "/join #fumbbl" in the status window after connecting to afternet. Ignore the channel list that pops up - those are just "standard channels" coming with the program.

Aha!

Cheers, that seemed to work. I had tried using Trillian's "Join Channel" command, but that didn't get me anywhere before - I'd recommend fellow trillian users, if you get as far as connecting to afternet, ignore the join command, and type

"/join #fumbbl" (Thanks Mnemon)

in the status window instead. (If you can't see the status window, try the "Toggle Status Window" command

It appears one of the afternet servers have changed IP. It will take a while for the change to pass down to all DNSes around the globe.

Darn it - it was working yesterday, now I'm unable to connect again...
