I'm not sure if the admins will support this but I hope they do. With the following script put in to your Mirc client you can add a !looking functionality to the chat. Essentially what happens is when you are looking for a game you type:
/set %looking <insert text here>
What will happen is when people are looking for opponents they type !looking and a list will come up of people who have set their %looking. I would suggest that the text part be the address to your overview page or to a specific team of yours. To enable this you need to follow these directions:
1)Go to your Mirc main window and select Tools->Remote
Add the following line in the text box.
on 1:TEXT:!looking:#:/notice $nick $me is %looking
2)Now click on the Popups tab. Select View->2 Channel
Add the following line in the text box.
What am I doing:/set %looking $$?="What are you doing?"
3)Then select File->Save All
This should work well in Mirc I am not sure that it will work in other irc clients and am positive the java client cannot use it. Unless there is a way for Christer to make the necasary changes. Admins feel free to change or modify the script in any way since I blatantly ripped it off from another chat group I follow with only minor modifications. |
