The Bournemouth Exiles Blood Bowl League in Poole are holding their annual tourny and this year it is open to all comers.
When? The 12th and 13th September 2009
Where? The Poole Games Workshop Store. This is located in Falkland Square, Poole, approximately 100 yards from the train/coach station.
Style
Swiss tourny style.
TV 115.
Inducements. Full inducements allowed
LRB6, + the 3 "new" teams.
6 Rounds.
6 skill choices, all chosen before your first game, no more than 1 skill on any player.
1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th skill, normal choice
2nd and 5th, doubles choice.
Prizes
2x Winners trophy, one of which lives in the store, but will be engraved with the winners name and team name, the other to keep.
Best Own Painted.
Sportmanship.
Best Comeback On Day 2.
Most TDs.
Most CSs.
Wooden Spoon.
More to be arranged.
Timetable
Saturday 10.00, arrival and registration.
11.00 Game 1
13.30 Game 2
16.00 Game 3
Sunday
10.30 Game 1
13.00 Game 2
15.30 Game 3
Then awards
Ticketing
Cost is just £5!
Tickets are available from any Games Workshop store. Just get your local store to phone the Poole store (01202 685634) and ask for a ticket to the Exiles Bowl in September. They will take you £5 and your name, and contact tel. Then all you need to do is turn up the Saturday.
Things to Bring!
Your team They will need to painted if you want to enter the best painted competition!!
A pitch, templates and dice, we are a little light on pitches, so if you could bring yours that will be great. Dont worry, you will get it back

Hmm, I might be interested it all depends on what swiss style is, how far away Poole is from Plymouth and if there is an age limit

There is an age limit of 16 other wise the ticket prises double as we would have to have GW staff running it.
Poole is about a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive from Plymouth or 4 Hours by train (I was born in Plymouth so I know the problems of the train service)

The Exiles tourny took place on the weekend just gone, 20 coaches from all over England attended the event and a great time was had by all! In the end it was a Dark Elf team that walked away with the trophy with Slaan coming second!

Wow that GW is a dreary looking place. Tournament looked like fun though. |
