I play on the large field because A) my screen is big enough to do so and B) I think the icons look cooler than the normal sized screen. I was searching for new player icons for the large field and found some, but I also found a thread with some snow orcs. Your normal orcs, but in white instead of red or blue. I thought they looked cool, but saddly they weren't for my field.
Well, I have photoshop, and sometimes I don't have time to play a full game, so why not take a stab at icons myself?? I followed the snow theme I saw with the orcs and applied it to my CD team. I like the look, might add some blue tints here and there for a more "cold" look. I'm going to also make special icons for my players with certain skills, stand firm, +ST, etc. so my guys have a bit more flare and stand out more.
Rather than hiding these on my machine so only I can see them I thought I'd throw them out here for all to enjoy. So here's round 1 of my CD team. I plan on adding some blue tints here and there for a more 'cold' look and then a few special icons for guys with certain skills (SF, stat increase, etc.)

Added some chaos warriors to the first post. The light blue highlights are kind of neat, maybe a bit too bright though... I'll give them a bit and see how I like them. Once I get a blue I'm happy with I can come back and update the CD as well. |

Had a short hiatus, but I have my beastmen up there now too. As I get skills I add them to the icons. Ie I'll color the beastmans glove if he gets big hand or claw, etc. I put a color on the hats of the dwarfs with guard. I know where I put the key players, but sometimes it's nice to have them pop out just a bit more. |
