i have heard a nasty rumor that dwarf teams are being discontinued by GW in the game. Or is it on this site?? not sure. if anyone has the inside scoop or can debunk this i would like to know as i am a dwarf player here and in "real" life.

totally false...Dwarves will always be in production. In fact, in the PBBL rules in the vault, dwarves get access to secret weapon players! |

Bah, lesser races use mages, big guys and secret weapons. Dwarves have no need for such things for they have something that every other race lacks, dwarven courage. Keep your gimmicks, even with them you will never be a match for good old dwarves. |

Nope dwarves just need:
The best linemen in the game - not a great statline but its not terrible either for linemen. Block, Tackle and Thick Skull as starting skills and acccess to general ans strength skills....yes please
Decent blitzers if a little slow
Runners - good skill access and average movement in relation to the rest of the team is pretty good.
Troll Slayers -Block, Dauntless and Frenzy as starting skills???? Just add multiple block, Mighty Blow and water for pure comedy
Oh and the cheapest re-rolls in the game (tied with Amazons)

I dunno, dwarves are pretty weak at high TR...maybe some secret weapon that simulates a Pitch Invasion at every kickoff would be in order...just to even things up, you know?  |

There are new secret weapon miniatures (including an excellent Dwarf bomber, chainsaw loony and Deathroller) due out next year. You'll find pics of them somewhere on talkbloodbowl.com
Rules for them are still in the process of testing, but the Dwarfs certainly needed something to make them more interesting. I'm not sure they'll make them any better, which is ok by me. |
