The kickoff of the 145 Club Open League went off with a bang with the first game between the Valaskaulus Whales (High Elves) and the Smashed Teef Society (Orcs). Over time, the game turned into a slugfest and the greenskins flexed their muscle taking a 2-0 win when the final whistle blew.

When the dust settled, the Whale's Luca Firenza (Blitzer) suffered a smashed knee and the Whale's catcher, Walter Spede (Catcher) could not be revived. Funeral arrangments for the player will be forthcoming.

The league is now up and running!

The Undeadly Sins quickly settled into their second open league season. Despite some early ball handling errors they ran out 2-0 winners and out cas'd the Nurgle 5-1.

Nothing says bloody-knuckle rumble like two Orc teams squaring off on the pitch. Tonight, the underdogs Smashed Teef Society (Orc) took on the Orcland Obliterators (Orc) living up to the brawl it was supposed to be. With the 700K TV differential, the Society was able to recruit Morg 'n' Thorg and Varag Ghoul-Chewer to bolster the ranks.

The first half saw tremendous bad luck for the Society, culminating with four straight Skulls rolled by the Society's Troll resulting in one of many turn overs. The second half saw the luck balance out with all 4 of the Obliterator's player failing their KO'ed recovery rolls.

In the end, the Obliterators made a hard push for the endzone only to end up 2 squares from a touchdown with the final whistle blew resulting in a 1-1 tie. The only notable injury was the smashed knee of Mork, a Society blitzer.

A mismatch on first glance the match-up between the Goblins of Go With Green and the Orcs of Smashed Teef Society proved the old adage that you can’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.

The first half was rather uneventful with the Smashed Teef squad content to play it passive on defense not pressing the gobbos with their superior strength. Failed GFI’s for both squads late in the half stopped potential scoring drives for both squads. The second half provided more fireworks with the Society gaining a solid orc-advantage thanks to the might of Black Orc Gutter who even managed to kill one of the Green trolls, who thankfully was saved by his regenerative powers. With the orcs advancing and mowing down gobs in their path coach FreeRange called for a last ditch blitz and was able to put a solid block on the orc passer, and get the ball to safety relying on the speed of Pogoer Desire. A chancy two turn stall before scoring the one and only touchdown of the game put the Smashed Teef bunch in the precarious position of pulling off a two-turn orc score which ultimately proved unsuccessful and securing the 1-0 Go With Green victory.

Even though the match could have very easily gone to the orcs of the Smashed Teef Society, the Go With Green squad will take any victory they get, with the cherry on top being that they made it through the match whole and healthy.

The Undeadly Sins faced off against a rookie underworld team last night.
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3245819
Two starplayers and a wizard came to the underworld's aid.
The warpstone munchers received and drove up the field. However the might of the undead proved too much and after pushing Skitter Stab Stab into the crowd (he'll wish he stayed there!) turned over the ball. Suddenly the sky went red as a fireball smashed into the undead's cage. Fortunatley the wizard's aim was off and no casualties were caused and the undead got the first score.
Next drive the underworld's star players hoped to prove their worth. However in the same turn first Glart Smashrip Jr was seriously injured then Skitter Stab Stab was killed and raised as a Zombie.
With no inducements left the underworld quickly crumbled.
4-0 and 7-1 in casualties the undead keep lurching onwards.

Dethjesters vs Human Supremacy

Finally, one of the worst team (till now) of the league, managed to win a game!
After a first half, governed by mistakes from both coaches (first the humans throwed the ball with an unnecessary tackle zone on the player, then the Dark runner went for it one time too much), without scoring and one dead human lines, the second half started with the ball in the hand of the dark elves. The Human aggressive pressure forced a pass but the bright sun caused the ball to land a bit far from the catcher and few spot from the TD line.
Some luck helped the humans to recover the ball, hand it to a blitzer and caging nearly the half of the field. Two more slow turn of cage advancing befor handing off the ball to a quick catcher, that went throught a hole opened from a blizter and scored in the last turn for the final 1-0

The last cheer for the proud Orgoglio and Saggezza, the two lines that died for the honor of Humans

Dirty Deeds Done Cheap vs. Claws of the Night

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=report&id=3254365

The first game of the 145 Club Mini League kicked off this evening.

This report is being written by a shaky hand after witnessing the absolute carnage that took place on the pitch. Unfortunately the Mini League debut of Dirty Deeds Done Cheap was not destined to be a happy one. A crippling raft of casualties ripped the spine out of the team (literally!) and made the second half an exercise in survival for the Dark Elves.

The first half started brightly for DDDC, receiving the kick off and driving downfield. Claws of the Night’s star player HacknSlash caused some mayhem early on with several KO attacks, but real trouble was soon to follow as DDDC’s Witch Elf shattered her ankle while trying to ‘Go for It’ with the ball. The Dark Elf apothecary worked his magic, and the improved result was Killed! This set the tone for the Dark Elves for the rest of the game. Soon the casualties and KO’s were piling up.

The ball bounced loose near the Claws’ end zone and a scramble ensured. Somehow Mr. Quiet managed to gather the ball then survived not one, not two, not three, but FOUR 2-dice blocks in a single turn through a combination of dodge & block, and actually wound up closer to the end zone than when the series of blocks started! He ran in for a last turn touchdown.

At 1 – 1 of turn 5 of the second half and with just 6 players on the pitch, DDDC tried to survive long enough to pick up a draw. But Claws of the Night were in no mood to allow the bloodied Dark Elves to rest, and with two MA 8 werewolves, there was nowhere to hide! The ball carrier and his tiny defensive pocket were hunted down and further blood was spilt! A desperate turn 6 play – with DDDC down to 5 players standing – saw the Runner, Shoot to Thrill, make a breakaway down the wide zone and throw a hopeful pass downfield. The pass missed its intended target. One of the Claw werewolves promptly killed Shoot to Thrill for his insolence, and the ball was collected for what looked like a walk in TD. However, the simple hand off to ensure victory was fumbled – possibly by blood stained fingers! – and the game ended with the score at 1 – 1.

Truly a crazy game of Blood Bowl. Thanks to Toombs for being a good sport – his dice were red hot for armour and injury rolls but deserted him when it came to ball handling!

How will Dirty Deeds Done Cheap recover from this eye watering beating? Stay tuned!

Ive been squished many times by other coaches Nairo, guess this time it was my time to do the bashing Wink Ive made an report for the match, because it was truly an epic game. One of the werewolves got so good at bashing that he now has strength 4...

After the total disaster in the match vs The Neverwherers (Dwarfs) the Claws of the Night was going up against a darkelf team in the fourth match of the 145 minileague. The Naggaroth Blood Raiders came to the Claws stadium, arrogant and certain of winning the game as dark elves often do, they even met up with just the eleven players needed for a game, certain that they could avoid damage by dancing around the zombies, and golems, but they were wrong as they were soon to discover.

First half started off with the Claws drive, the ball was kicked deep into the back of their field, so Doomslasher had to run back to pick it up while two zombies guarded the ball, the elves came rushing towards the ball dodging, and running past the slow golems and zombies, while the were wolves tried to stop them. The Claws protected the ball, but were suddenly surrounded by elves, and had to break out, after some bashing and infights the ball ended on the ground and Uncle Claw picked it up, heading for the endzone. The rest of the team bashed the dark elves that were now caught in between two lines of Claw players.
The Dark ones had a chance to tie in the last part of the half, but the Claws coach knew that to prevent them from scoring the team had to deploy wide to make as many tackle zones as possible, Malich made a brave attempt down the right side for the endzone, but was quickly covered by three Claws, and while tripped while trying to dodge away.

The second half was kicked off, and the dark elves were down 8 vs 11, they tried a quick run towards the endzone, but the ball never reached the endzone as both wolves hunted both the ball, but certainly also the ball carrier. Uncle Claw fumbled at an attempt to pick up the ball, so Tarchar picked it up and dodged away from him, but Zrebrek Unghu was near, and in unison they laid down the dark elf runner, Zrebrek picked up the ball, and ran to score the second touchdown. Now the elves were in turmoil, and some of the players refused to play, so instead they tortured some spectators with bad jokes.
The dark elves that decided to continue the match were brave indeed, all respect to them, because the Claws werent finished scoring, Zrebrek Unghu had gotten a taste for other then maiming, he wanted to score again.
This part of the match was rather exciting as the dark elves managed to run with the ball and nearly made it to the endzone, the Claws defence was out of balance now, but luckily Uncle Claw was ready to take out the ball carrier. The ball ended up in the hands of Doomslasher and he threw it to Zrebrek Unghu and the young up and coming star ran once more to score his second touchdown.
The game was a blast for the assembled home supporters, and the Dark Elves might think twice before coming back to the Claws stadium.

Excelent report mate. So I have some match to play. Probably it was not the last such bloody match for me. Have to invent new tactics because one that I use now is not working.

Who want to play today at 11.00 GMT+1?

I have added reports to each game I have played so far. Some fun games and some horrendous beatings too!

This is my first time ever playing Chaos Dwarfs. I have found them very difficult to use, lack of ball handling skills has been a real pain and it is difficult to score with them - but there has been plenty of fun moments. I look forward to playing more league games!
