A couple years ago I ran one via vassal. It was fun but took a lot of "house" ruling to simulate the 3d environment. |

The problem of Necromunda is you need 3d graphics and 3d environment to represent cover, terrain, different floor levels etc.
A 2d Necromunda game would really suck.
While Blood Bowl is a boardgame (so you move your players across a flat board with squares) Necromunda is a small skirmish wargame (so no squares, instead to move your players a measuring tape is required and you need a lot of terrain).
I'd love a Necromunda (and Gorkamorka )game but it's probably too hard to make a working client unless a professional videogame company is involved. |

To create a perfect representation? Yeah you'd need high end stuff. To create a reasonable facsimile? I don't think so. Use a hex map to better represent free form movement. Simplify and normalize the cover rules based on the size and thickness of the material. Come up with a simple way to normalize shooting across vertical levels. Limit the map to probably 3 stories.
I'm no programmer, but based on what little I know it should be possible. |
