Ok, I talked to the admins.
They say it happens because I am using Java 6.
Will update Java now |

Aye, was happening to me tonight as I was using java 7. You also have to make sure you uninstall all previous versions so that 9 is the only one installed. Otherwise you get a different error message when you start up... Conflict something or other. |

I think the Java installer also checks for and removes old versions automatically now. |

ah well, updated java, disabled the antivirus program rebooted multiple times and the files still seem to get blocked.
Well I will try again tomorrow... |

I had the same problem last night. Any ideas as to why this is just now occurring? |

I can't tell you exactly why this is happening now. But the error messages indicate the outdated java uses an outdated encryption method that can't read the data sent from the server.
A java update was released yesterday. Maybe the server was updated and no longer supports that out outdated encryption. Dunno.
Not like you should be using several years old java anyways... that's pretty crazy. |

Thx Wreckage but my OS won't take the latest version of Java. I'm therefore out options until I get a new computer... |

Same issue for me
OS X 10.6.8, can't get any version of Java beyond 6.
And I can't upgrade the OS because when I try, I get some weird error messages about my hard disk.
Looks like I'll either need to replace the hard disk, or stop playing FUMBBL |

I've been hitting the obsolete tech mark for some time with an old macbook. This time I finally bit the bullet and purchased a new laptop. I consider myself lucky to have been able to defer it as long as I did. |
