Prodigy and I were discussing how much work it seems to be to find 4vs4 games, and he came up with the idea that starting a new league might be the way to go, and here it is.
The 4vs4 World League
The 4vs4 World League will have two main pools of players. Upon joining the league, teams will be placed in a qualifying pool, where they will play as many other teams as possible for the chance to enter the Championship Division. At the end of each round, the top teams from the qualifying division will be exchanged with the bottom teams of the (currently unnamed) World Championship Division.
Both of the divisions will have the open round-robin format, as this makes it easier for coaches to find matches than any kind of fixed schedule. We're hoping to attract a range of members, so that it will become easy to find opponents at any time of the day.
Currently, rounds last just for one week. It doesn't take all that long to play a 4vs4 match, so there should be opportunity to get several games in (for the more enthusiastic players), without having to wait too long for the round to end.
Want to become the 4vs4 World Champion? Come and visit the group page for info and league rules: 4vs4 World League. |
