Hello,

I was just trying out an ogre team and came across something strange...

The ball was kicked out of bounds and I attempted to give it to an ogre, and it said he had "NO HANDS" and couldn't carry the ball.

An ogre can normally pick up the ball, right?

Is this something that occurs in the client (maybe because the ogre hasn't rolled for bonehead yet) or is it a LRB rule that I don't remember?

Thanks,

If the ogre had failed his bonehead roll, he becomes ineligible to pick up the ball til he passes it (though he can hang onto a ball already in his hands...)

If an Ogre does not pass his bone head roll on the turn before touchback happens, he can not be given the ball. It is a bug in the client that has caused me a game loss in Stunty leeg. :-\.

Did that happen after a TD? I think I read about this before... Bonehead players who failed their Bone Head roll in the previous turn still are Bone Head after the kick... So, until you move them and have them roll again, they have the No Hands trait.

Maybe I am wrong... but I remind reading something like that once...
Not much of an help uh? Rolling Eyes

EDIT: Well, luckily someone preceeded me about this Wink

http://bugs.fumbbl.com

I find that receiving a return email from SkiJunkie saying "fixed" after submitting a bug report is very rewarding. Smile

Get to it!

Since it seems to fit here and came up after i noticed the same behaviour: can a boneheaded player catch the ball? Probably not in the client, since he gets the 'no hands' trait temporarily, but how about in the rules?

Why do you think the client gives the player No Hands temporarily?

Because the rules say Bone Head players can't catch nor intercept the ball when Bone Headed.

I had kind of the same problem lately.
My gobbo passed the ball to an Ogre, and the client said "No Hands".
It can be that the Ogre was bone head in the turn before (before setup), I do not know, but I know for certain, that he didnĀ“t have the yellow spot showing on the figure.

That could support your statement, JanMattys, but it makes playing Ogres not easier...
