Is this another GW flop or something that GW could build off?

I have played it a little and as it stands, it's not BB, it's pretty crappy and I still have no idea how I am winning.
That being said there are a few things I like:
the small field with 5 units works. For mobile we don't need 13 units.
I love how the stats are in the 100's. like Agi:45, STR:56, Armor:540, and speed:43.. So we have human throwers more agile then Elf linemen, ie gradual racial shifts which makes sense. Not all elves are way more agile then all humans, etc.
The simultaneous play is a great idea. It actually feels like a gridiron game.
Oh there is so much I hate:
Whatever controls I have over a player seem to be random.
Game is way too easy.
5 square wide board isn't very imaginative... maybe 7 squares...
Skills? Skills are weird, they are just like a stat boost instead of something people actually use.
