Hurt was a ripped soundbite. As they didn't want to have any copyright issues it wasn't added to the new client.

hurt is so awesome! Especially in big matches. it would make we want to spectate more.
sign me up for a campaign, demonstrations or whatever is needed to get it back!

What about using a new /hurt sound to avoid the copyright issue?
The "splotch" kill sound works for me, I heard it in my last game.

I blame GW, and Alan Merrett in particular. No one would ever in a million years have sued over the sound bite, it was an overly cautious move in my opinion.

No use crying over fouled ham, it's gone and won't be back anyway.
