I would have expected Plasmoid to give the catchers AV8. Wink

Probably to people who think Box and Majors are not 'proper' blood bowl.

Let's hope that this time they won't think that Fend counters Clawpomb.
Yes, AV 8 Catcher would have been better than the cost reduction but they are clueless about long term development of teams and perpetual leagues.

Considering that they already have AV8 on Cyanide, this is a backward step.

So... which rulepack is correct then?
Will the rules fork from now?

That's a joke, right? The rules had already "forked", in the sense that Cyanide is a licenced interpretation of the game, and had no relevance to the "official" rules, which they never matched. Cyanide isn't, wasn't, and probably never will be "correct", unless you're playing there.

I dunno. I thought bb2 was kind if official?
It's a little weird that the box uses the same artwork...

I said this in the facebook group and I'll say it here.

The powers that be seem pig ignorant of the scope of the game and the venues its played in. This kind of change is small, really small, to the point it's laughable. It might lead to 1 more catcher taken during the team creation phase but a max TV savings of 40k with 4 catchers, at 1600+ TV? Like a gnat on a horse's ass.

A 10k price change doesn't really mean that much in the game where the utility of the player is of prime importance.

But hey, if they want to mess with the game in a haphazard fashion where they ignore a plethora of opinions outside their limited perception, many of us will be here to hammer them on it, rightly.

I happened across this article about Essen and saw the new Blood Bowl. This guy claims they are getting rid of the turnover rule. Can anyone confirm?

You must mean illegal procedure, right?

Hmmm. Haven't played in a couple years is that it's called? Turn over on dropped ball or missed block? If so then yes.

They are making the Illegal Procedure and 4 minute limit rules more obviously optional. I assume that's what they mean. The turnover rule isn't changing.
