Ilphas Elidyr just rolled an 11 for his first skill. If you look at his Team, he's one of my 3 LOS elves (the other two being #s 12 and 13 with #15 on the bench). +AG elves are great and all... but what role can he play that isn't already done better by someone else on the team? Should I just skip the +AG and go with something else? |

Holy heck. I read the first 4 players on your team and have decided it doesn't even matter. |

+AG will not help him much if he will still be standing on the LOS so i voted Dodge. |

Eventually a high Priority Elf will be stomped on. You will want subs. |

I'd take it. On my team, with AG5, he's no longer on the LOS |

Wow an insane team. Seems the league opposition aren't beating down on Elves much. |

Ok, so +AG is running away with it... but if I take it, where do I line him up (especially on defense)? Do I put the other unskilled Lino on the LOS and let the +AG ride pine? What about when I'm down a man? Does he then go on LOS? |

I would probably bench him on defense yes.

Yes, unless circumstances indicate it's worth putting Faerenor there. Or you could buy a 13th man. I'd strongly consider it in your circumstances, to be honest.
Edit: Also, do you really find yourself using 4 rerolls +Leader?
I would have thought 3+Leader would be plenty for elves. |

I mean, it seems like you've got a pretty awesome record with them, so I'm not sure if you need my 2 cents, but ...
At that TV, I'd be running with 13 players at least, if not 14. I don't know what sort of teams are in that league, but against high TV heavy bash, 1 on the bench is not enough, imo. What about when you have 1 or more players mng? I would put the Block/Blodge linos on the LOS, ahead on him. Probably put him on the first row behind the line to shield the more fragile AV7 catchers. |

I don't think I would bench him on defense. Having another AG5 floating around to make crazy dodges and pick up loose balls can be very handy. |

Oh, absolutely, but you have to bench *someone* and in a team this developed, since he's not going to be on the LoS he's the weak link until he's been fed a few more SPP. |

Exactly what i had in mind.
You take +ag and buy one more lino for LOS-duties.
+ag lino is good. Maybe he will roll another guard (blodgestepguard), or blodgeleap/wrodgeleap + something useful (surehands for retrieval attempts?)
Elfs can go high tv, problem is that they rarely stay there.. and high elfs do well in high tv (some even say that high elfs are best in high tv).. so buying another one isn't gonna hurt. Take ag5 to have options (don't plan how to build him now, see what kind of injuries you get and replace if needed). |

You don't really care about the bloat that much, and you only have one AG5 anyway.
I can see a rationale for not taking it and going with kick instead though.
I would guess kick might actually help that team more than a naked AG5 line elf, but of course, it's easier to add kick later somewhere else than to roll another 11. |
