Any box change to discourage mono activating is a good idea. Maybe if odd number in draw with 11+ mono activater auto misses out. |

In a draw with 11+ why is the monoactivator a problem?
You're heading off on a tangent here. 11+ in a NA timezone Box draw is a rare event. |

Are you just trolling or what? Since when do we see 11+ coaches activating in the Euro timezone, let alone non-Euro?
If you really want to see less monoactivating, there's something very simple you could do to stop it ... |

Another proposal to make black box more attractive: Allow players to play with secret league teams there. But only against secret league teams. And each activation must have a secret league and a normal team, if a secret league team is activated.
There might be a lot of players who would like to try out secret league teams in a competitive environment. Also there could be no better environment for playtesting. |

Hey hey it's Pythrr and his rhymes,
I'm bearded and I'm weirded but I'm not Rick Grimes
But just like him I be watchin the dead
Same old arguments need shootin in the head
Beat beat and the OP goes drop
Smallman's beef just got to hop
Longer acties and a lot more coaches
Dis is the stuff he gots to broaches
Quality shitpost of the highest apogee
First class stirring but a third class degree
Cos his one plus twos just don't make three
He buzin and spoutin like a crazee bee!
Big up the B crowd! In da house! Wot wot!
The argument just be going on and on
With no mens right, and with no mens wrong
All dis time we be killin and chillin
Then get back in the box and we all be winnin!
Peace out. Shizzle. |

thread is tl dnr
However... 1 hour activations is a terrible idea
in my experience, matches often go OVER an hour by 1 to 30 minutes
sure sometimes the game runs less than an hour... usually a dice raping
So... if you could find the time to activate, and you were able to avoid a dice raping, your game will likely extend past the next activation an hour later... meaning you will have to wait around for a long time to activate again.
Reducing activations to every 30 minutes MIGHT be a good idea.
But really... at this point what difference does it make? Leave it alone.
BOX SUCKS because you get stuck playing the same type of teams over and over again and because UNLIKE Ranked there is no incentive for the coaches you play against to try to be friendly OR at least a reasonably decent human being... because they would prefer you be willing to play them again because the game was FUN even if your team got shredded... because you have the choice to NOT PLAY THEM if they are boring or obnoxious to spend time with. |

How about that?
A Player activates.
As soon as 4 players are activated with schedulable teams the gamefinder pairs them to games.
Every 30 minutes the players are asked by a popup or something alike if they still want to activate. From that moment until they press the button 'keep activated' they are not activated.
This way activation happens faster, people keep hanging on longer if necessary and the wait gets less frustrating. Still it is minimized, that people forget they are activated and games are scheduled where one player is already offline.
What do you think? |
